Wanted me to pay $2,000 upfront for a broker scam, so I added him to an email with the broker to analyse if what they were saying was truly a scam or if it wasn’t. He made sure to include in the email that he wasn’t my lawyer (because I hadn’t paid him 2k yet). Why would anyone in the right mind blindly give a lawyer $2,000 without know if they truly have a case or not.

Before I contacted the law offices of Tim Billick I felt powerless and very upset after discovering that someone had taken the intellectual property that I worked so hard to create and was selling it online without my permission. To my surprise and disbelief, Mr. Billick had the infringing material removed from the Internet much quicker than I ever imagined was possible. Now I am feeling so relieved! He even did some background research and made calls before I officially signed up as a client and did not charge me for that! BUYER BEWARE! I'd highly recommend only using Tim for simple things like patents and parking tickets but not for lawsuits. We hired him to sue a competitor who was hacking our system and looking around by asking our clients for their username and password to our system. Pretty easy case. We even had the owner admitting to doing so on a phone call. I assigned my associate to find a lawyer in WA to sue them in federal court. Tim said all the right things: a little better price, up and coming lawyer under a certain age group and my inexperienced team member swallowed the hook. The problem is you can have a lower rate but charge more hours. As we approached 200K without even starting depositions (should happen by the 100K mark), I stepped in. It was getting very costly. Tim through a fit. He had this amazing money coming in for almost no work. Having been in lawsuits before, I listened to their plan and told them it wouldn't work and came up with a better strategy. Tim told me it was better to use honey (not recommended in lawsuits) and when he executed his plan it completely flopped. The two x-clients he would woo into testifying did fall for his scheme. I then decided I needed to settle because really with Tim, they had two lawyers and I had none. I told him to write the settlement agreement. Being the passive aggressive wimp that he is, he let them write the settlement agreement in his latest attempt to get back at me, the owner, the guy paying his bill. When confronted he said it was to save us money. Dishonest. So I fired him and wrote him a bad review. After calming down I took it down knowing it was a gut punch reaction after getting screwed over. A year later, this is the honest review he has earned along with a lot of undeserved money. I do feel I need to warn others in significant legal action to avoid Tim Billick. He sounds great, looks great but under the hood he isn't a good lawyer. He is smart and talented enough but something is missing. I'd say honesty and competence. I once was looking for an airplane mechanic and asked a friend about a possible mechanic. He said, "I wouldn't trust him to fix my lawnmower let alone something that has to keep me in the air." That's Tim Billick as a lawyer. I don't give a one star review often. While a nice supposed "Christian" guy, he deserves my rare one star for complete incompetence. To the response below: On the one year anniversary, as I received another installment, it made me relive my experience of working with you. It was so bad I looked at the rating I had left and decided I had to leave a truthful review, not a politically correct one. The review is not for you, Tim. The review is my experience and opinion for those looking for a good lawyer and what at least one of your bigger clients has experienced. I've hired and interacted with at least 7 law firms over my 20 years in business for various legal tasks. I have only had to fire one of those. BUYER BEWARE.

It was hard to find a patent and trademark firm that has the skillset I need, but is also kind and cost effective. (Nobody wants to work with expensive jerks) Tim, Bob, and the team have been wonderful to work with, and now my business has a registered trademark and a granted utility patent … with international protections on our IP too.

My business received a demand letter and draft complaint for copyright infringement. The letter asked for hundreds of thousands of dollars and I was really nervous. Tim put me at ease and negotiated the demand down way below than even I budgeted for. I am so thankful we were able to get out of that case so quickly and cheaply.
