I hired Valerie Bell to represent me last June. She was very knowledgeable and clearly experienced, but my favorite thing about her was that she was so understanding. Everything I talked to her about she understood why I was feeling that way and believed in me even if it was about an issue that wasn't worth bringing to court. In which case she would explain to me why it wasn't something we should bring to court. In the courtroom she was professional and very prepared and it really showed when we won the court case. She is the best attorney I have ever worked with, and if I need one in the future, she will be the only one on my list to call.

I hired Shaw Law Group working with Bridgett and her partner to gain legal advisement on educational law issues, and I had a similar experience as another person who wrote a review. I spent $400 on tasks I could have completed on my own or had already done on my own. They detailed what they did for the $400 I paid for services, which gave me a few new pieces of information but overall very little that I wouldn't have already discovered on my own. It was only my second time ever needing legal advisement, and it subpar, where I've had much more luck with free legal advisement services and greater care/customer service. It seemed that they lacked the confidence to direct a case or advisement successfully and didn't really want to be involved, but of course, they could accept money. I needed sound navigation advisement, which was not given, only that I was dealing with "good ole boy, good ole girl" education issues. That's not what you pay legal advisement for, especially in a place where it is important to navigate culture and legalities. I received a parking ticket while on a visit to one of their locations, which they paid, likely because they probably already sensed my disappointment in their services. I was appreciative, but it just seemed to reiterate the wasted time and money aspect. I was in email conversations back and forth on topics, but would be pushed off because I had reached a limit to what they could do with what I paid for services. I believe the tasks completed would have been worth no more than $100-200 of their time at best. I would not recommend these lawyers as they seem to lack confidence and sound legal advisement for important situations, especially in areas where you are spending a considerable amount of money on education services where you need answers. Like in a previous review, I'm sharing my experience to help prevent others from spending money on services you don't receive for the money you pay. With a few minutes on the phone in correct advisement, I could have done what they did for me myself. Disappointing.

Valerie Bell, was recommended to me by a friend of mine who went through a similar situation. It was the very first time I had to deal with a legal matter and I felt very intimidated and overwhelmed.as I had the complication of dealing with a total different lingo, not in my native language. During my ordeal, Mrs Bell has been extremely helpful and understanding in explaining to me the the law and the details of my divorce. She has truly navigated me to a very good settlement and provided me with sensible advise without being pushy. I would also like to mentioned that she was always promptly available to answer all my questions and very receptive to my input. Bridget was hired as a consulting attorney to determine the best school for my children. She took 9 months to basically do a phone interview with a handful of people, cost me over $3000 to do so , then came out with an opinion anyone could have made reading a parent magazine. My children are both special needs and I really was counting on Bridget to make a well informed, insightful, thorough decision. I am a teacher by profession so when I read her report I was devastated. She did not choose the school I felt and still feel was appropriate for my kids but I could have lived with that if she had really shown she had worked hard to come to her decision. We all really want to have faith in our legal system and rely on people like Bridget to take our cases seriously. When I take my kids to the doctor, have my car fixed, or even send them to school everyday, I trust they are with the best, most professional, hard worhing expert in that field. I am spending time writing this review because I'm hoping to prevent another parent and/or person from this experience. There are so many other attorneys out there who really do care and really will work hard to guide and council.

I contracted Valerie in order to obtain a divorce. She made the process much smoother and efficient than I had expected. Her honest demeanor and setting of realistic expectations made this difficult decision relatively easy. I felt as though I had a partner I could rely on and found her to be compassionate to my situation and thorough in her execution. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for legal council!

A divorce is a vulnerable time in life it's important to have someone guiding you though the legal process that is both trustworthy and knowledgeable. Valerie was excellent at representing my interest while being frank and honest about my options. Even when it came to billing she was respectful of my financial commitment and billed just for the time she spent on my case. And although I wouldn't want another reason in my life to work through a divorce; I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Valerie Bell.

My separation was a shock: I needed a lawyer who wasn't cold and commanding but clear, logical and effective. Ms. Bell guided me through the emotional trauma to the way out. Commonsensical she didn't escalate things but sidestepped the power-plays. Yet she also used the force of the law to answer one very dynamic situation. I have been working with Ms. Bell for more than a year now on a major parenting plan and child support modification regarding my teenage child and she is great to work with. It has been a very stressful court case made more difficult due to a complicated and difficult relationship with my ex-husband. Ms. Bell has made this very stressful process easier on every level. She has kept me completely informed, is easy to reach and has helped me to understand what all the legal speak means that a person encounters during the court process. If she has been out of the office or unavailable her legal assistant, Ms. Wong, has been equally helpful and supportive. Ms. Bell has helped me to understand what to expect during this process and how to set expectations. Her advice has been realistic and she has been easy and enjoyable to work with. Her knowledge of family court has been invaluable and helped me to have an outcome that exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Ms. Bell if you are needing help with your divorce, parenting plan or child support case.

I have actually already referred Valerie Bell to SEVERAL friends!!! I was referred to her from another attorney who was a friend and wanted the best possible legal support and advice for me during my divorce... Wow, did I get it!! Valerie is calm, wise, insightful and thougthful. She gave excellent and practical advice throughout the process and made what is possibly the most stressful event in one's life a million times better. She never provoked things to get worse; instead she gave me insight to make decisions that have served me (and more importantly, my child) for the long run. I recommend her without reservation. I recently referred her to one of my dearest friends and watched Valerie make everything all right for her as well. The legal process was as short as it could be and the outcome was really the best it could be. I cannot think of a better teammate during the horrible process of any family law issue. I first consulted Valerie on the advice of a friend when I was considering a divorce after a 30+ year marriage.. She has proven to be a knowledgeable, patient, tireless, yet practical advocate during the whole process, and I could not recommend her more highly.
