I had multiple court apperances where he neglected to show up. Most of the time he would call ten minutes prior to the court apperance to say he wouldn't be there. I had much better success with the public defender i was appointed. Jesse wanted me to plea. The public defender tried the case and was found not guilty. Good thing I didn't listen to this joker

I hired Shaw Law Group working with Bridgett and her partner to gain legal advisement on educational law issues, and I had a similar experience as another person who wrote a review. I spent $400 on tasks I could have completed on my own or had already done on my own. They detailed what they did for the $400 I paid for services, which gave me a few new pieces of information but overall very little that I wouldn't have already discovered on my own. It was only my second time ever needing legal advisement, and it subpar, where I've had much more luck with free legal advisement services and greater care/customer service. It seemed that they lacked the confidence to direct a case or advisement successfully and didn't really want to be involved, but of course, they could accept money. I needed sound navigation advisement, which was not given, only that I was dealing with "good ole boy, good ole girl" education issues. That's not what you pay legal advisement for, especially in a place where it is important to navigate culture and legalities. I received a parking ticket while on a visit to one of their locations, which they paid, likely because they probably already sensed my disappointment in their services. I was appreciative, but it just seemed to reiterate the wasted time and money aspect. I was in email conversations back and forth on topics, but would be pushed off because I had reached a limit to what they could do with what I paid for services. I believe the tasks completed would have been worth no more than $100-200 of their time at best. I would not recommend these lawyers as they seem to lack confidence and sound legal advisement for important situations, especially in areas where you are spending a considerable amount of money on education services where you need answers. Like in a previous review, I'm sharing my experience to help prevent others from spending money on services you don't receive for the money you pay. With a few minutes on the phone in correct advisement, I could have done what they did for me myself. Disappointing.

Bridget was hired as a consulting attorney to determine the best school for my children. She took 9 months to basically do a phone interview with a handful of people, cost me over $3000 to do so , then came out with an opinion anyone could have made reading a parent magazine. My children are both special needs and I really was counting on Bridget to make a well informed, insightful, thorough decision. I am a teacher by profession so when I read her report I was devastated. She did not choose the school I felt and still feel was appropriate for my kids but I could have lived with that if she had really shown she had worked hard to come to her decision. We all really want to have faith in our legal system and rely on people like Bridget to take our cases seriously. When I take my kids to the doctor, have my car fixed, or even send them to school everyday, I trust they are with the best, most professional, hard worhing expert in that field. I am spending time writing this review because I'm hoping to prevent another parent and/or person from this experience. There are so many other attorneys out there who really do care and really will work hard to guide and council.

I had a criminal charge made against me for 4th degree misdemeanor assault, not the most serious of offences but I nonetheless did not want to be marked out as a criminal for the rest of my life or a good portion of it. The evidence against me was so flimsy as to be almost laughable, and we could hardly believe the prosecutors brought me to trial. Apparently they wanted to give a newly hired deputy prosecutor some experience, and chose me as the lucky one to give it.
Never having been in a courtroom before, I really appreciated Jesse Corkern's efforts on my behalf as well as his willingness to "hold my hand" and explain all the various and many nuances of the trial process.
The person who accused me has been known in our neighborhood for years as a nasty troublemaker. The prosecution tried to get the judge to suppress any of the long, sordid history of this person's actions against the whole neighborhood for years. Jesse Corkern successfully argued to the judge that this person's unsavory history had to be taken into account in order for a jury to judge whether to believe him or not. Once he succeeded in doing that I started feeling a lot better. He did a great job of cross examining my accuser and showing the jury just what a nasty character he is. He also delivered a superb closing statement that made the prosecution's closing statement look ridiculous by comparison.
Lawyers often seem expensive but I think you kinda get what you pay for. Plus they have a lot of overhead expenses so it's not like they get to pocket all their fees. And when you consider the possible consequences, a good lawyer is really almost priceless. I was lucky to find Jesse Corkern listed on the findlaw.com site, since I had no idea where to look or who to call. Hiring him was the right decision, no question about it. Even though the whole process was bothersome and even a little traumatic, I have to say there are few pleasures to compare with hearing the judge read those words: "We the jury find the defendant not guilty." I'm still feeling good about it weeks later.
We were fortunate to have a smart, fair judge, and a good jury. But if Jesse Corkern hadn't been there to get the evidence of my accuser's history admitted, and to plead my case effectively, things could have very well gone against me.
I would not hesitate for one second to recommend Jesse Corkern to anyone facing criminal charges. I hope I never have to go through anything like that ever again, but if I do, my first and only phone call will be to Jesse Corkern. He really did save my hide.

Jesse is a knowledgeable and nice guy But there were definitely issues, Communication from jesse was not good.
It was difficult to get a hold of him or a call back for anything including simple questions.
Clearly my case was not important next to whatever else he had going on.
A little bit of communication goes a long way.
Unfortunately I can not say I had a great experience like the other reviewers and felt like I was left in the dark most of the time.
My advice. .do your research before you choose anyone.

Jesse was knowledgable, friendly, efficient and professional handling my photo enforced speeding ticket. I would highly recommend him for anyone who find themselves in need of a lawyer. I was in a difficult situation where I had misplaced my original ticket that was mailed to me and only realized I had a commit a driving infraction when I received a post card notice from the city and the fine had already increased. I contacted his office and was treated with respect, kindness, and importance even though my needs were less then serious. Jesse made himself available when I needed to see him or contact him and assured me he would handle my speeding ticke problems as he has a great deal of experience with speeding tickets and the city of Seattle. I grew nervous with the collection date looming, but Jesse assured me this was just a formality with the city using some other lawyer talk I can't remember but it put my nerves at ease. With in a couple weeks he provided a letter from the city informing me that the case had been dismissed and the speeding ticket and fine were a thing of the past. The best possible outcome I could have hoped for. Jesse has very classic looking law office downtown and I especially appreciated that he has a bowl of change on his desk for his clients to pay the meter. The reason I would come back to Jesse (lets hope I don't have to) is that he was friendly and personable, but still professional and down to business when needed. It gave me a great sense of relief to have Mr. Corkern working for me.

Jesse and his staff helped me get a traffic accident (of which I was at fault) dismissed from my record. Jesse was professional and was in constant communication with me throughout the process. I would highly recommend Jesse to anyone seeking legal advice and will be sure to call on him in the future if needed.

I admit I was in violation of the law and because of my criminal background I was looking at 7+ years in state prison for Felon in Possession of a firearm. I was sweating bullets, no pun intended, and Jesse Corkern assured me that the law would not allow me to do the time. I was caught redhanded with an AR-15 assualt rifle, an XD-45 semi automatic, and a military bulletproof vest, no dancing around the facts, I was planning my exit out of the country in a very descrete manner. I was really worried about the outcome to police were all lying about how things really went down when they arrested me. The State of Washington wanted to rap me up and ship me out for a long time. The state offered me 3.5 years as a "PLEA BARGIN", deal my a** I was starting to go through a lot of emotions, everything I have worked for is gone if I let the state intimidate me... It felt so good to win and put the state attorney in the loser's box. The feelings of helplessness is the worst and to be steamrolled by the state. I have had other private lawyers in the past and public defenders too, they aren't in my phone. I trust this lawyer and I will only call Jesse. If anyone can make it happen Jesse can.
My Freedom is worth my weight in gold!
Again Thank you Jesse from me and my family and I have no problem telling my friends, family and strangers.

I came to Jesse feeling hopeless and not knowing what the future would hold. His honesty, knowledge of the law and the criminal court system resulted in dismissal of a case that could have resulted in 60-70 months in prison. Hiring Jesse saved my family and my outlook for the future. I can't thank him enough and recommend him highly.
