I am not a review writer but it would be without conscience if I didn’t share my experience of what it was like working with Chris Black. I was notified of my legal troubles and need to appear in court 24 hrs before I was about to move to another country and had no idea who to turn to. I found myself in completely uncharted territory as I had no previous experience with the criminal justice system. I found Chris and the moment I met him and shared my story his proposed approach to addressing the issue immediately created a sense that I would be able to manage the situation and that he would fight for the best possible outcome. I can earnestly say that based on my interactions with him I am convinced that he chose his profession for the right reasons one of which is to ensure that regardless of your situation you are entitled to the best possible defense. He was honest about all potential outcomes based on the law. He had empathy but his advice was always based on reality and the law. He didn’t miss the small details and he was as generous with his time as I needed him to be. I would recommend him whole heartedly as not only will he give you as much of a sense of peace as possible during a very tumultuous time but I really believe I got the best possible outcome and he will fight to ensure you receive the same.

Highly recommend Chris Black to anyone facing legal challenges. From the moment we walked into his office we were treated with compassion and understanding. Chris returned our calls and texts promptly, and always addressed any questions or concerns we had along the way. He and his team were amazing at handling any obstacle we came across. We got the best outcome we could've hoped for and couldn't be happier.

I have to absolute pleasure of hiring Jesse Wing (an attorney at this law firm) for assistance with some unique legal support/protection. Jesse is truly outstanding. He is cool, calm, and collected. Jesse is a subject-matter expert, is a great listener, is able to identify unique legal arguments, and is able to achieve case objectives with all involved in a very professional yet firm manner. If you are looking for an attorney that you can trust, that is dedicated, respected, respectful, and is able to win cases, I cannot recommend Jesse Wing enough. You will not be disappointed.

I have been dealing with an incredibly difficult and complicated case, and Chris Black was the only one I trusted to help me through it. I’m an advocate for victims of SA and trafficking, and an abuser filed a fraudulent Order of Protection against me. Chris Black has helped me navigate the process of making sure I didn’t end up arrested, found in contempt of court etc, as the court wasn’t listening to me without a lawyer. Justice often costs money and Chris Black has been worth every penny! In the court room, Chris is well researched, presented and dressed. I honestly could not be more proud or happy of the services he has provided and continues to provide. Chris is someone I have been blessed to be connected with, and will keep his number handy to be an incredible resource for myself and others. His office is amazing and I’ve been more than impressed with the legal documents submitted to court on my behalf. Chris was able to make sure the renewal for the OP was denied, even after appeal. After another OP was filed in a different county to shop around for answers, that request was denied as well. I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome!

I worked with MHB over a period of 6 months, May-October, 2023. I was most impressed by the way my lawyer, Mika Kurose Rothman was able to manage my emotions throughout the entire process. Mika never once lacked empathy, and while time management is an inherently a frustrating aspect of the legal system, I never felt like I was being avoided or not considered. My outcome came through a mediation involving the EEOC and my former employer dealing with my claim of discrimination and retaliation. Jesse Wing and Mika Rothman together executed a near perfect deal, and helped me recover not only a valuable monetary settlement, but a personal victory against workplace abuse, especially the kind that inflicts Black women far too often. I will forever sing praises of this firm and am thankful to have had them by my side until the end. I emailed over 40 lawyers at the time that I was let go from my job, and if it weren't for MHB saying "yes", I wouldn't have had a chance at what my lawyers made look like, an easy win. Call them if you need help, you'll be in careful hands.

Lola was a savior angel for me, when I entered America I didn't know English and Lola and her team patiently listened to my words and guided us in this difficult way. I finally got my green card. I definitely recommend Lola and his team

The two consultations with Lola Zakharova were essential in getting my fiance and her son set up to come to the US. We now have airline tickets for November 14th of 2023. I will add a photo here when we are finally all together. I had been floundering trying to access the USCIS website for over a year. I got some help from my congressional representative. But that was not enough. I found Lola on a Google search and noted that she also speaks Russian. That ability was essential in assisting us with the last steps in the process. She conducted a Zoom call with both of us, speaking Russian with my fiance in Ukraine. Olga is very professional but also very friendly and sincere. She could have easily forgotten about us, but she did not. Also her fees are ver reasonable. She has many years of experience working on immigration from that area of the world. I look forward to working with her more in the future.
