Natalie Roberts was focused, to the point and responded to all information requests within 24 hours. If you've been down this path before and experienced poor response times from an attorney then you know just how frustrating and stressful this can be. Scheduling of phone calls for questions was easy, response times quick and I never felt rushed while discussing concerns. Expectations regarding the outcome of my Child Support Modification case were set early and that's what she delivered on every step of the process. Her knowledge of this type of case was thorough. Natalie confidently rejected outlandish wants from the other party. Her assistant Donna was professional and very helpful getting all court required financial documents in order and in the correct format in very short order due to a last minute change of attorneys to this team. On 10/16/2017, I was served (in St. Petersburg, Florida) with a Summons, as well as a Petition to Change a Parenting Plan. Despite being a Florida resident (and having already fought a 2 year Divorce and Child Custody battle in the State of Florida), my ex-wife (who is now living in WA) was attempting to "domesticate" our Parenting Plan in the State of Washington. This, obviously, was a strategic decision that would have put me at a HUGE disadvantage as I attempt to remain in my children's lives. This was also an incredibly stressful situation because I didn't know any attorneys, or law firms, in the State of Washington. After panicking for a couple of days, I spent the next few days researching dozens of family law attorneys and law firms in the Seattle area. Natalie was able to focus on the jurisdictional issue at hand and was completely prepared to argue our position - while also rebutting my ex-wife's pompous and arrogant attorney. With Natalie's assistance, we were able to convince both judges (in WA and FL) that Florida was the proper venue to contest my Parenting Plan. This was a HUGE relief and a very significant victory as the thought of re-litigating an entire divorce and custody case, from 3,000+ miles away, was a pretty significant fear of mine. Earlier today, I received the Washington Court's Final Order on UCCJEA Jurisdiction. My ex-wife's entire Petition (along with her hundreds of pages of supporting documents) was "dismissed with prejudice" which was my best-case-scenario and an early present this Holiday Season.
