They put you through an inital intake process which is positive. I wanted a quick end to my divorce and was happy to compromise to make it happen. Our goals seemed to align. Unfortunately this firm provided poor council during the first phone call with the attorney. Luckily this did not lead to a financial move that would have put me in violation of a court order. Later the attorney wanted me to provide documentary evidence he had previously advised against in an aparent 180. Such documentation was previously claimed to put me in legal liability. What can I believe? Very disappointing. Divorce is tough enough. I hired an attorney becuase I am no legal expert and I wanted a quick, mediated end to my marriage. Instead I get bad and changing advice. Plenty of good reviews of these guys. Hope I'm an outlier.

Truce Law is the law firm you want to hire when you want a stress free and wonderful experience. All of the attorneys seem to truly care about their clients and the whole legal team is professional, communicative, and knowledgeable. Melodi and Dianna are the best duo you could ask for. They helped me tremendously and they are not only wonderful at their jobs, but also wonderful humans in general with big hearts. If you need legal help, this is the place to get it!

This firm is an absolute scam. They do not care about their clients what so ever. Their only concern is getting as many funds out of you as possible. I wouldn’t wish what I experienced with this firm during my divorce on my worst enemy. Where to start… when I chose to hire Truce law, I was told that 3k-5k was generally enough to finalize a standard divorce. They explained that sometimes there are complications and more would need to be pulled from the trust to accommodate. With that information, I put 10k in the trust for them to pull from and finalize my divorce. This is not a complicated divorce. We have no assets together AND I agreed to 50/50 custody so the only thing to address was child support. This process was over six months and I heard directly from my lawyer TWICE. He never answered any of my questions or concerns, nor did he ever follow up with progress. It was very apparent he could care less. I only spoke with his assistant about the progress of my case. Nothing was accomplished. Months of time and 10k in and I received NOTHING. My divorce still isn’t finalized, I never received the temporary orders of child support that was promised to me, final orders are still not in place. When I called the firm to explain my frustrations and that I felt completely taken advantage of, they assured me my case was being looked at and audited. I was speaking to the director of the financial department. They were going to find out where all the funds went considering nothing had been accomplished. I want to reiterate that again. 10k AND NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED. She said all charges going forward were on hold until they figured out what happened. She also said I would be receiving a phone call with a final decision of whether they would need additional funds or would proceed with getting the divorce finalized at a discounted rate. A week passed, I never received a follow up call and then I get an EMAIL directly from lawyer simply stating that because my recent charges remained unpaid, he is withdrawing representation. I have continued to call to get answers and it’s like the firm no longer exists. No call back, no emails, no explanation. This firm is unprofessional, greedy, money hungry. I am disgusted at how everything has been handled and I will make sure EVERYONE knows how dispicable this firm is. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. Save your mental well being and hard earned money. I promise, Truce Law does not care about you.

I am writing this review to give feedback about the attorney Dianna Caley and her Paralegal Melodi Powell. This amazing duo has worked on a double appeal case (totaling 19 days of two trials combined) that have been in process to begin for going on 4 years. Dianna & Melodi as a combo took over short notice after I withdrew from another attorney. Dianna and Melodi had 19 days worth of information along with many other hearings that were included in the appeal along with the 2 trials to review. . I can’t express the strength, compassion, depth and hard work that these two very intelligent woman have put into my case… the ability to retain this many days of information and able to appeal it so precisely! Dianna : She has a peaceful demeanor in and out of the courtroom . She carries herself with respect and has a gracefulness toward Judges, opposing counsel and to her clients; while simultaneously powerfully delivering her case to the courtroom . I believe an attorney who has the ability to relay highly sensitive information without elevating emotion despite opposing counsel being elevated; has a true gift. Dianna’s attention to detail , sharp mind and ability to retain New and old information surpasses any professional I have ever encountered(Dianna has cleaned up the work of 4 other past attorneys of mine on these multiple trials / hearings ). Her mind is brilliant and it shows through the angles she is able to use at the drop of a hat while in the courtroom. She knows Law no questions asked! Dianna is an attorney who is open to feedback from her client in what they want brought up in court. But what I can confidently say is, Dianna knows what she is doing, and what I think is best is not better than what she knows! I didn’t ever have to question what she believes is best for my case because every time she has represented me she has done right by me. She cares about her clients and is in this career field for the right reasons. For justice! Melodi- I have worked with Melodi close to 4 years; not only as a Paralegal working with Dianna, but when she was representing another lawyer. I actually followed Melodi when she made a change in her career after successfully working with another attorney. Interesting enough , Melodi is the only reason I stayed with the prior counsel as long as I did. She essentially did ALL of the work in my past cases, he just represented as the official attorney. Melodi is a highly skilled paralegal that I did not want to loose. She was worth following, and she now is paired with an attorney who is at a higher Caliber/ quality that allows her skill set to shine through ; as her work is outstanding! Melodi is a deep thinker who also studied my case in and out ; while retaining details that helped support Dianna to be able to relay the relevant case law for my appeal. Melodi put her heart into writing multiple motions for me, that Dianna represented me in. Motions that they won for me! Melodi is fabulous with communication and being the liaison for Dianna when correspondence is necessary. Melodi is in this line of work because she loves law, cares about children, human rights, and civil rights. I trust her to get the job done with superb quality each and every time! Dianna and Melodi both carry integrity, and are ethical in how they practice, Billing is a huge topic amongst those who work with attorneys. Unlike past firms, I have never had any dishonest experiences with either of them with billing for their time. They also don’t create work or conversation/ reason to bill as this is a common behavior in this field. They actually care about their clients! Highly recommend this team at Truce Law!

I am an officer who was facing an allegation of assault after a self-defense incident occurred in my hometown during a road rage altercation. A crazed woman approached my vehicle with my children in the car, spit at me when my window was down, and I repelled her advance with OC ("pepper") spray. Thecounty did not press charges, but the Navy became aware of the incident and decided to continue with NJP. Throughout the process, Don's guidance was a source of immense relief and reassurance. He helped me navigate the options of either taking this to potential court-martial or accepting NJP and vowed to advise me in whichever route I took. I ended up electing to accept NJP and focused on moving on from the military and readying myself and our family for the next chapter in life since I was approaching one year until I could retire. Don, whom I deeply respected and trusted, was right there at every step to provide advice and guidance on how to navigate NJP, and he helped me craft statements that followed the report of NJP, the adverse FITREP, the response statement to my LOR, etc. Eventually, my case was recommended for a no-show cause (no board of inquiry) by my ISIC, first flag, and finally PERS. I am deeply grateful for the help and guidance that Don provided me along the way, which I believe was instrumental in this outcome. I highly recommend Don and his team for representation if you're facing a legal case within the military's legal system. While DSO provided me with some advice, it was Don's personalized guidance that truly made a difference. Unlike the junior JAGs who rely on scripts and Google, Don's experience and expertise shine through in his advice and representation, making it a valuable investment in your case.

Our son, 25 at the time, had a past criminal record that prevented him from obtaining a security clearance for work that his employer had contracted with the Navy. I blindly chose Don King off the internet and the rest is history.
