Patty Rose was retained by my daughter in a wrongful termination dispute with her employer. Patty was recommended by another attorney that I know here in Olympia who told us that she was very knowledgeable in these types of cases. Patty is an extrememly busy person but she took the time to drive all the way down from Seattle to meet with us. We were so impressed with her professionalism on this case. Patty is a professional and certainly went above and beyond everything we expected. She eventually won the case for my daughter who was then reimbursed funds that had been paid to ESD. She also proved to the company involved that they cannot mis-treat employees like this. This is why I give her a 5 star rating. We could not be happier with the outcome and it really bothers me to read these negative opinions. I think maybe sometimes people have unreasonable expectations especially with someone who is as busy as she is.

I read a recent review of Patty and I was encouraged to share my similar experience with her in 2021. I had a serious employment matter which led me to Patty. Patty told me she does 2 hour consults at some amount between $400-$500. (I dont recall exactly). I brought a cashier's check (probably by design so you can't pay for just the hour you used) The consult lasted just 1 hour and Patty answered the phone for another client for several minutes while I was still sitting there. I left with the understanding that the remaining hour would be used going forward but in the following days, she stopped returning my phone calls when I needed legal help the most. My experience mirrors other reviews with this “consult fee” up front and lack of follow through. . Patty is a nice person and a pleasure to speak with but I really didn't need to line her pockets while facing a serious, time sensitive employment matter. Seattle is a big city, keep looking.

I reached out to Patty to handle an employment issue. I paid a rather exorbitant fee of $500 for two hours of her time. After our initial consultation an hour of time remained. She stated she would research my case further but never did so despite repeated contacts and complaints. She was apparently too busy to handle my case or she decided that the paycheck she was going to earn wasn’t high enough or the case wasn’t important enough because I wasn’t a member of a racial minority. She was willing to refund my fee paid in full, but I would never recommend Patty to any client needing an employment attorney’s help. Because of her I have been unable to recover income lost and earn unemployment income to live on while procuring another job.

This is the worst lawyer I have ever interacted with in 47 years. To my surprise, I found a review of Ms. Rose by reviewer "Kelley" in 2015. Wow, I was shocked! it is one thing to read criticism from another reviewer. It is another thing when the conduct described by a stranger matches line by line what the business/person, did to you. That is not a coincidence. When I read the review by "kelley", I was shocked that Ms. Rose had done this type of thing to other vulnerable people. She is the first lawyer I have ever interacted with who made my situation more stressful and less legally viable to the point that I had to walk away and eat the $500 deposit. Lawyers I have interacted with in the past, help you with your situation. The retainer fee and scope of work is signed easily with no drama. NOT WITH PATTY ROSE. I am just grateful that I was able to retain actual legal assistance and walk away before it was too late! I succeeded in my hearing despite her efforts. I called her on the phone and she offered a free consult and proposed a $750 flat fee for her help with all services required in preparation for my unemployment hearing with the OAH. During our initial consult, Ms. Rose seemed nice. She offered my mom and I a convenient weekend consult (July 25th). While we were there she spoke about offering personal investigative services, legal research work and more, for a total flat fee of $1250 with a $500.00 deposit. On July 25th we asked her to send over a fee agreement +scope of work and promised we would send the $500. What we received via email was a contract that had zero language in it about a flat fee. We were both dumbfounded. We asked her why this was the case and she apologized and said she would send us another. We received this new fee agreement on July 29th. Again, none of the language in the contract described a flat fee and a scope of work remotely close to what she had committed to in person on the 25th. Still, having never experienced anything like this previously, in good faith we sent her the $500 which she cashed the first week of August. From there we talked several more times. Each time she promised to send over a fee agreement resembling what we had all agreed upon. Thank GOSH we never agreed to sign any of the other random unrelated contracts! Having retained over 30 attorneys between the both of us, neither of us had ever had a lawyer behave this way. Each of us called attorney friends of ours who instructed us "to run away" from this attorney. As stressed as I was with getting my documents prepared for my hearing with the OAH, Ms. Rose made it 100 times worse, increasing my stress level with her mental games and repeated submission of documents that bore zero relation to anything she committed to in person or by email. What kind of horrible person would do something like this to someone already dealing with the stress of fighting the OAH for unemployment owed?! I wrote an email to her stating that I was grateful that she did this to me-someone who had the resources, extended timeline, and legal experience to know that her behavior was so out of line that she was violating the principles of the Washington State Bar. While she might be great at researching employment law and well connected in employment law forums, she is a lazy SCAM artist who brings people in with her free consultation. People who provider her with the $500 are so committed and suffering such stress, they stick with her. They rely on her doing the work that they either can't or won't do themselves. When she loses your case because she performs zero work she tells you that she is primed to represent you in District court for five times the amount of money. I don't care how many attorneys refer to Patty Rose for her free consultations and employment experience, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BELIEVE THAT SHE WILL WORK TO MAKE YOUR SITUATION BETTER.

Patty negotiated improved terms, and a higher severance agreement payout for me, when my job unexpectedly ended. Her assistance helped make a difficult time less stressful. She is hardworking on her clients' behalf, approachable, and empathetic. I am pleased to recommend her.

Patty represented me while I was finding my way through a stressful reduction in force. I was glad for her advocacy, both with the employer's attorney's and with their HR department. She was excellent in reviewing the contract, and correcting the contract to protect me. I strongly recommend her.

Ms. Rose demonstrated to me that she cares beyond expectations and thoroughly understands her field of law. Best understanding of Federal Employment Disability Discrimination that I have ever found.

Very well informed and intentioned lawyer. While I didn't prevail in my case, I am happy with the work she did and with her dedication to my case. Top notch lawyer without the top notch attitude.

Patty Rose represents me in an ongoing employment case that involves wrongful termination as a result of whistle-blowing and workplace harassment. I sought her out initially simply because she had done such a great job representing my wife during an employment dispute several years ago. Patty is very knowledgeable about the law and takes the time to explain things in a manner that anyone can grasp and understand, which is an important aspect for people who are undergoing the stress and hardship that labor & employment problems can bring. Most impressively, Patty goes beyond mere attorney/client representation, as she is very much an inspired and dedicated advocate for all issues relating to employment and labor laws, particularly those that effect working people of all classes. (Think of her as your David who is willing to stand up to the Goliath that is the employer who has treated you badly). She has my highest recommendation and you will be in very good hands with her as your attorney.

Patty was a smart, compitent, assertive attorney who advocated for me at a recent mediation. I know that the successful outcome would not have been possible without her expert help along the many weeks prior to, and during this stressful process.
