We cannot recommend Amy and Matt highly enough. From start to finish, they navigated and took on the immense pressure and stress from our case with ease. We felt supported in even our most vulnerable moments. Most importantly, they made us feel justified in our cause. You definitely want this duo in your corner when things get challenging!

Yes, it actually feels good to have a worthy credit profile. I want to use this time to appreciate PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST for bringing me out of a bad credit report that made my life miserable. 6 years ago I had perfect credit but my life spiralled out of control and was left with 50k debt.  I had no way of paying for it at that time.  I have been rebuilding my life for the past few months and need to fix my credit. I had 50k debt combined.  6 closed accounts with "negative pay status" "Charged off as bad debt".  550 credit score. I paid 2 of the 6 accounts off recently but the remarks are still there and nothing about my status changed on said accounts. PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST came through for me, with all negative entries removed; charge offs, late payments wiped out including closed accounts all cleared from my report and my score is now 804. I got approved for a Capital one credit card with a $10,000 limit and have been pre-approved for another $30,000 limit. I’m happy now and THANKS to whoever posted about them on this forum for the first time. You can contact them via:

I hired Matt for an employment matter. At the initial consultation he laid out a realistic timeline and made sure I understood what to expect. He kept me updated throughout the case and did his best to make everything as easy as possible. I’m the end the matter was resolved much quicker than I expected and I also got a far better outcome than I could have ever expected. Should I ever have to hire an attorney for an employment matter in the future, Matt will be my first call. Thank you Matt!

I recently had the privilege of working with attorneys Matt O’Laughlin and Amy Maloney on a legal matter that was of great importance to me, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning Matt and Amy demonstrated a deep understanding of the intricacies of the case. Their professionalism and experience were evident as they meticulously analyzed every detail. Throughout the process they exhibited remarkable communication skills, ensuring that I was kept informed and involved in every stage. This not only reassured me, but also demonstrated their commitment to transparency and client satisfaction. Equally impressive is the way they handled interactions with opposing parties. While assertive and resolute in their stance, they maintained a level of professionalism and respect that contributed to a constructive atmosphere, even during negotiations. They made sure I understood the nuances of the case, and the potential implications of various decisions. This empowered me to make informed choices and actively participate in a legal process. In addition to the legal process, both attorneys demonstrated a genuine concern for my well-being throughout the entire journey. Their empathy and approachability made me feel like more than just a client. I felt like a valued individual with unique needs and concerns. In the end, thanks to their tireless efforts the case was resolved in a manner that exceeded my expectations and their skillful representation and dedication yielded results that I believe would’ve been unattainable with any other attorney. I wholeheartedly, recommend Matt and Amy to anyone, seeking legal assistance. their professionalism and expertise and genuine care for their clients make them an outstanding choice for legal representation. If you’re looking for an attorney, who will go above and beyond to protect your interests and deliver exceptional results look no further than Maloney O’Laughlin.

I highly recommend Matt! He went above and beyond. He was extremely knowledgeable and guided me throughout the entire process. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of my complex case. I literally called 8-10 law firms in the Seattle area, and they all refused to take on my case, except for Matt! He believed in me and was willing to put in the hard work. He seriously didn't shy away from complex problems. I would read all the court documents that were submitted, and I was confident in his abilities. Some of the best written documents I have ever read, with deep understanding of the law came from Matt! He would cite numerous court cases ranging from employment law to immigration law. Matt has deep knowledge in both employment and immigration law. This is not common in industry. Without Matt, I honestly don't think the same outcome would have been reached. Seriously the best lawyer! I hope I never need lawyers again, but if I do, I will be sure to reach out to Matt! P.S. Thank you so much for everything! Your firm is amazing and doing great work!

Sarah has taken us from incorporation through investment trademarking and every other thing that has come up. She is smart, fast, responsive and has the answers you need. She is also ably assisted which is really important when it comes to saving money and getting great service. She only gets involved when real legal decision making is required, otherwise everything runs smoothly under her review. Working under the auspice of Davis Wright Tremain (DWT.COM) means you have instant credibility with investors because you are working with a blue chip firm and you have access to specialist resources (IP etc) whenever you may need them. I originally looked at the least expensive way to get legal help and after some research happily discovered that this was it.

Sarah is a solid asset to any deal team doing work domestically or internationally. As outside counsel for a fast growing company, Sarah was the primary point person for multiple strategic transactions including: fundraising, cross-border M&A, sensitive regulatory dealings, and managing through constantly changing corporate/market demands. I've worked with Sarah multiple times over a 4-5 year period and I look forward to our next engagement.

Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Seattle, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
