The Advocates unethically take 40% from your property damage settlement. I suffered a great financial loss by hiring the advocates to handle a property damage and personal injury claim. Hiring the advocates was more painful and emotionally traumatizing than the hit and run accident i was involved in. Not only do they take 40% from what you receive from your property damage settlement, but they do not do anything to actually help with property damage AND their paralegal, Peter, never told me i needed to get my car fully looked at in order to get my full worth for my car. I told Peter that getting my car looked at would cost me money i didn’t have, and he never once told me that the amount i get my car assessed for would be the amount i would get for my property damage at the end of the lawsuit. Towards the end of the lawsuit i told Peter that i still haven’t gotten my car looked at and he said “no worries it wasn’t completely fixed/inspected.” Why didn’t he say “in order for you to get the most money you need to get the car looked at fully”. My car was worth $10k - $12k pre settlement, and i got $3500 for it. In The end i walked away with a little over $7k including my pain and suffering settlement. If Peter would’ve made this clear that i need to get my car fully looked at in order to get my max pay out, i would’ve saved up for the money and gotten it done but instead i suffered at his hands due to negligence. My fault for assuming the advocates would point me into the right direction. No one from the other parties insurance company looked at my car which i thought was going to happen. I didn’t realize until the end that they would take 40% of my property damage settlement. They didn’t do anything to help with it. I heard back from their “property damage” guy twice then never again. So why do they deserve the 40%? After speaking with smaller, non Mill-Style firms (many lawyers such as the advocates) do this and it’s dishonest and unfair to the client. I wanted to leave multiple times due to their inefficiency (i had to call up people involved in my case inorder to get these done since the advocates were not hungry enough and truly just didn’t care) and they wouldn’t let me. Instead i am left with stress from not having a car that no longer runs (i walk dogs for a living so i need it to live) and the car is only worth about $500 now. So please if you have property damage or personal injury claim, prepare for them to not be hungry to get the most money for you, to take 40% of your property damage settlement, as well as work with negligent paralegals who are not clear with you about what you need to do on your end to get the most money.

I went to the advocates after I was involved in a motorcycle accident I was told it would be a hard case but they were willing to take it. At first I get bounced around paralegals and landed on Aleena who was meant to be my main means of communication. After she was appointed to my case I go months with out any progress about my case nor a call from my appointed lawyer Jhon after being told I would receive a call from him that never came. I had to call/text inorder to get any information about the case otherwise i would hear nothing. I went to them due to the fact that they were highly recommended but after my dealings with them I would say their reputation is undeserving and the name advocates needs to be revised. Update 08/30 Jhon had reached out which was unexpected but welcome. Through our talks he had an idea of moving forward with my case. Before this call I had reached out to a few other law firms but none were willing to take my case so as of now though I am still skeptical. He is trying so I can't say they don't advocate. I will write an updated honest review once my case comes to a close.
