Coleen is an awesome lawyer, got arrested for a DUI, she was the first person i called for help, very patient walked me through the whole process. She fought for the whole way and got my charges dramatically reduced. Do what ever she says in the time she sets, if she tells you to drive to Redmond for your DUI class and victims panel its for a good reason. I will be recommending her to anyone I know that needs help with the law.

This lady probably prevented a stroke! Out of deep worry and need for help, I was lucky to find her in her offices, long after everyone else had stopped answering their phones and gone home. A person in my family had gotten herself in some deep legal problems and I was in no financial position to retain a lawyer. Coleen spent an hour and a half of her own unpaid time, explaining the law and the consequences and how to work around the system, without having to pay the thousands other firms would of charged me. Without Coleen and with my medical conditions, I'm certain I would of suffered a stroke from the stress. I was facing a felony charge for something I did not do. I I contacted Coleen immediately after getting arrested for a free consultation. Thereafter, she went above and beyond what was required of her to provide free legal advice to me across a period of three months. We were faced with criminal charges brought against our 16 yr old son by an angry ex girlfriend. Coleen was amazing in meeting us and talking on the phone (talking us off the ledge basically). She gathered all the evidence and knew it inside and out. She worked with detectives and prosecutors and provided them with electronic communications between the alleged victim and our son. The criminal case was declined. She was simultaneously helping us with the SAPO that she successfully pointed out to the judge that it should be a DVPO due to dating relationship. She very adeptly represented us at the DVPO hearing which was denied. Anxious and helpless when I came to Coleen the last minute for my boyfriend's charge, trying to find the best solution for his case. Coleen was able to get back to me in a short period of time, she would not make you wait any longer than necessary. The case went sour due to the lack of efficient presentation of prior attorneys. Coleen was very patient with me, once she started to listen to me and asked questions about the case, I felt eased off a lot. I was surprised how courteous and patient and professional she was; Coleen is very knowledgeable and she answered a lot of my questions, she really cared and she really wanted to help. I have had very bad experience talking to attorneys, a lot of them just care about how much money they can get even before they know if they can help you or not. I could not have asked for a better experience than the one I got with Coleen. As a student, my arrest caused excessive stress for me and I was terrified that I would not be able to afford an attorney. After my initial free consultation, Coleen had provided me so much helpful information that my mind was already at ease. She even offered me a student discount that made hiring her within my means! When all was said and done, I ended up with no criminal record. She is an expert who is well respected in her community and she is always honest, attentive, and clear. I was pulled over and booked for a DWI/DUI driving home on i5 around the shoreline area. I had been drinking earlier in the day but it had been a few hours since my last drink and I figured I was good to drive. Long story short, I was pulled over for "erratic lane manuevers" and blew above the legal limit. At the time I was confident with my roadside tests and was expecting to blow under- I ended up blowing a .137. After contacting Coleen the next day she did an excellent job listening to my case and providing 100% transparency in her advice. She didn't sugarcoat anything during the process and at first the chance for a reduction seemed bleak. After about 5-6 court dates of just pushing my trial back, we were finally ready to move forward and work with the prosecutor to have my dui lowered to a reckless driving. This particular prosecutor was willing to work with us and try to make a deal, unfortunately he was transfered to a different courthouse and we had to start over with building our case with the replacement prosecutor. Unlike the prior, this new prosecutor was not very willing to work with us to cut a deal and the scenario of having my dui lowered was looking even less likely. Unfettered with the new prosecutor's lack of cooperation, Coleen took matters into her own hand and wrote up a lengthy transcript for a high up supervisor in the courthouse. Coleen reviewed the dash cam footage prior to my stop and found inconsistencies that would be in our favor. The original stop from the officer who arrested me was very quick and suspect to say the least, and his police report was exaggerated compared to what the dash cam footage showed and what actually took place. Coleen included these inconsistencies in her write up, along with a copy of the video, and thankfully they did not fall on deaf ears. The superior of the prosecutor who was unwilling to work with us also agreed on these inconsistencies and offered a reduction of my dui to a reckless driving. Because of Coleen's determination and persistence in fighting for me, I was able to complete a few days of community service, pay a drastically lower fine, and ultimately not have a DUI on my record! I could not be more thankful for her work. To make her even greater, due to my financial situation and the fact the I was a student at UW at the time of my arrest, Coleen also provided me with a student discount on her rate. I had never had to deal with this kind of situation before, and hope I never have to again, but if I was going to hire a dui lawyer, my endorsement would strongly be for Coleen St. Claire.

I don not know how to even begin to describe my terrible situation. I was in a bad car accident which I was at fault. I was so scared and had no idea how to fix it.
