Overall, excellent experience. Pros: Great staff, with particularly helpful legal support and paralegal team. Paralegal was thorough, responsive, and helpful. Small detail, but I really appreciated the tone of my correspondence both with the lawyer, paralegal, and legal support staff. I also felt like Steve Hemmat had really invested himself on at least a couple of occasions. During one particularly hairy detail he was willing to go back and forth with me on some very specific language and neither he nor Katie (paralegal) was condescending. Last thing I'll mention is that I found Steve very trustworthy. I had been looking around at a few other firms and Steve was the only one to tell me that what I was looking for was not actually a service that anybody could offer me (running both arbitration and preparing documents). Cons: Only one con really is that I going into this and coming out of it I still didn't fully understand the entire process, timeline, and maybe "roadmap" if you will. The team did a great job and got everything done faster than expected but I think even just a generic handout explaining the process could have just made it simpler in my mind. anyway, small nit. thanks again, team!

I was very satisfied with the level of service I received from Hemmat Law Group. Steve Hemmat and team were always very responsive to my questions and in tune with the complexities of my case, moving parts, and upcoming deadlines. Mr. Hemmat was impressive in court and several times was complimented by the Judge for being a good client advocate and respectful of court proceedings. The goal in my divorce case was to reach a settlement with my significant other and Mr. Hemmat was able to achieve that result for me. The attorney’s at Hemmat law have been such a bright light in my dark days with my case. With every question and concern I had they made sure I fully understood everything prior to making any final decisions. Hemmat Law Group is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helped me from start to finish. I was unsure where to even start when it came to needing legal services but doing an initial consultation really helped me understand the process, estimations, and expectations based on my needs. Hemmat Law Group did an amazing job creating a prenuptial agreement for my partner and me. Their attention to detail was impeccable and they did a great job of explaining the nuances of Washington state law to me. I was referred to Hemmat Law through my employee assistance program. They were prompt and professional helping me to navigate the ins and outs of quit claim deeds and real estate excise tax in a particularly difficult county. I truly appreciated both Katie and Jordan's thorough communications as we wrapped up the process. It was actually a bonus being able to do all of our work through email and telephone contact. I never had to leave the comfort of my home/work to take care of this important personal business.

I would recommend, and have recommended the Hemmat Law Group to anyone seeking legal counsel and representation. I had a very complicated parenting plan case. I was served with a contending parenting plan and child support order filed in a different county the day before I received a default judgment for a parenting plan and child support order in the correct county that I filed and litigated Pro Se. I contacted the Hemmat Law Group because I needed legal counsel and representation as it was very clear that the other party and council were not ethical in their actions and had also perjured themselves. From the first consultation, I felt like the entire team had my back. Steve suggested that I should consider going to law school for what I had achieved as a Pro Se litigant. I told him that I wanted to be able to sleep at night, haha! Both Steve and John are both extremely compassionate, ethical, and fair. They listened attentively, and saw the clear picture right away. Steve suggested a plan that was the most rational and with the least amount of conflict as possible, as the hope is to get these matters sorted as amicably as possible for the benefit of the parties, but most importantly for the child’s benefit. Long story short, initial opposing counsel and the other party were high conflict individuals and people who acted unethically. They seemed to want to be on a warpath rather than deal with this case honestly and fairly. My case lasted exactly one year from filing to getting final orders (well, technically the second final orders) and included many ups and downs. There were false allegations we had to (easily) defend against, there was a CASA involved, a motion to vacate, and there were temporary orders as well. It was definitely a roller coaster and one of the toughest things I’ve had to go through emotionally. I am currently on disability with a fixed income and they were kind enough to structure my case in a way that I could afford. Associate attorney Anna Linden took over as my primary attorney so that I could save on costs. The people here are not just looking for money. They deeply care about the people they represent and I felt that. Their concern for my daughter’s wellbeing was also felt which was the obvious priority in my case. Representation and legal council is not inexpensive, but they helped me in a way that I don’t feel like many others would. They truly care about the people behind their cases. Anna would tell me that she would think about my case some days driving home brainstorming ways she could help us and that she did not like bullies. She said she would do everything she could to help me and my daughter and she kept that promise. Anna is wise beyond her years and is equally as kind as John and Steve. My case fortunately settled through mediation and one issue, the Covid 19 vaccine, through arbitration which we won. The careful attention they place in who they select to mediate and arbitrate is superb. Just like all of their other work, they are careful, meticulous, and thorough. I feel like I was able to voice any and all concerns or questions and they were listened to and answered. Communication was excellent. Although nobody gets everything they desire in a parenting plan, I am very happy with what we were able to settle with especially the well thought out provisions. Several years after the separation, I feel like my daughter and I finally now have stability and safety. I am now well into my first quarter of my paralegal studies and I can only hope to one day work for a law firm as esteemed, ethical, and conscientious as the Hemmat Law Group. In 13 months, they filed a continuance, charged me over $5k then dropped me as a client 2 months before trial.
