i was referred to Kerry Richards by a friend who also had a great experience. Kerry Richards is a saint. saved me and my son. i owe to him all the little moments i get to experience as i watch my son grow everyday. we finalized everything almost three years ago and writing this still brings tears to my eyes. there is nothing more important than family, and i wouldnt trust mine with anyone else.

Do not use Joel Bradshaw to be the lawyer for a irrevocable trust. The trustee would not give an accounting or bank statements and receipts to the beneficiaries, which is required by law, and Joel Bradshaw defended the trustee instead of the beneficiaries. He must not have informed the trustee of the law. The law requires the trustee to look out for the best interest of the beneficiaries not use the trust money in whatever way they please. Mr. Bradshaw also told beneficiaries the trustee could not produce the bank statements because they were in "storage". I guess he never heard of "online banking".

Kerry worked with me several times over 5 years in divorce proceedings, changing a parenting plan, getting protection orders, developing a will, etc. He was always a pleasure to work with, he worked well with other attorneys, gave me great advice (i.e. balanced, realistic, timely). He incorporated my thoughts and wishes in the pleadings. He should have a much higher rating and I can only think he is just more focused on serving his clients than on marketing. It was also nice to know that he is very active on local boards and a strong supporter of the arts in Seattle. All my best Kerry, thank you again for excellent service!

I had a very difficult divorce from an abusive husband and Kerry and his paralegal were incredibly helpful. They were supportive, responsive and available when I needed them. Kerry got me a much better settlement than I expected. The cost of his services was less than the increase in my settlement, so I was very satisfied. I should mention that I worked for 6 or 7 years as a paralegal myself so I think I have a good ability to judge.

First of all, Kerry was working with me "pro-bono" or at a very discounted rate. This was not by choice apprently but something enforced by the state. So that may be the cause of my somewhat lack-luster experience. Mostly he was concerned with getting paid and getting things over with. I was fairly young so I didn't know I could actually find a new lawyer, so also my fault. Kerry was definately a nice guy, but most of the time I felt like he wanted to just get my case done so he could get some real money. The case was regarding child custody and child support, he did ok; he didn't really fight for my interests, but he also didn't screw me over. I'm only not recommending him based on the fact that I think he's not so thrilled about doing pro-bono work. At full price he might be a star.
