Замахнуться на иммиграцию в Америку, признаться, казалось мне безумством и абсолютно не реализуемой идеей. Мысль об иммиграции в другие страны не представлялась настолько же сложной, но и манящей. Я изучил требования к грин-карте талантов в Штаты (EB-1) и понял, что вообще-то прохожу по многим критериям. Был нужен адвокат. Я написал нескольким специалистам с высоким рейтингом на авво.ком — это портал, которому, как я понял, можно доверять. Нечто вроде официальной базы американских адвокатов. Адвокаты отвечали, а я ужасался ценам. У Кати цена в соотношении с ее высоким рейтингом оказалась наименее кусачей, и мы стали работать. Катя проанализировала мои исходные данные и дала задание, что надо «добрать» по критериям. Это очень небыстрый процесс, но шаг за шагом я начал закрывать пробелы. Кроме закрытия критериев для кейса нужно было сделать еще кучу вещей, о которых я даже не подозревал. Открыть в Штатах "ИП", предварительно зарегистрировав там "ИНН". Составить бизнес-план, чтобы офицерам, рассматривающим кейс, было понятно, что я собираюсь дальше работать в Америке, а не сидеть на шеях налогоплательщиков. Принести офицерам подтверждения спроса на мою работу на территории Штатов. Во всём этом — в дополнение к закрытию критериев — Катя мне помогала и давала инструкции. Через 10 месяцев после начала работы мы подали кейс. Здесь началась самая нервная для меня часть, потому что нам прислали запрос на дополнительные доказательства (RFE). Офицер придирался к каждой запятой. Я в панике стал расписывать где, что и как доказывается, хотя не должен был этого делать, но тревогу было никуда не запихнуть, она вылилась в подробный ответ на каждую претензию офицера. Я отправил этот документ Кате как основу для написания официального ответа на RFE. И я очень удивился, когда получил от Кати ее версию: если я подчеркивал причинно-следственные связи и приводил фактические доказательства на ту или иную претензию, как бы защищаясь, то вариант Кати просто разбомбил претензии офицера, потому что, как оказалось, 99% этих претензий вообще нелегитимны. Ну, то есть, офицер пишет, мол, вы приводите вот такие доказательства, но они не подходят, дайте другие. Я в своей версии даю другие, а Катя пишет, что по закону первые доказательства подходят, а вы, товарищ офицер, некомпетентны и выходите за рамки своих полномочий — естественно, в очень корректных формулировках. Мы выиграли кейс! Спасибо Кате и ее команде за отличную работу, искомый результат и терпение лавин моей тревоги — это тоже очень ценно, особенно когда твоя судьба в буквальном смысле в руках твоего адвоката. PS: Платежи можно разбить на части. Путь кажется непреодолимым только в самом начале. Но уже после первого шага каждый последующий оказывается все более реальным. Если бы мне год назад кто-то сказал, в какой точке я сейчас окажусь, я бы не поверил. Внутренний самозванец — ваш враг и всё врёт. Просто напишите адвокату и узнайте, что да как — за спрос не бьют. Taking a shot at immigration to America initially seemed like a crazy and completely unattainable idea to me. The thought of immigrating to other countries didn't seem as daunting and appealing. I delved into the requirements for the talent green card (EB-1) in the States and realized that I actually met many criteria. That's when I knew I needed a lawyer. So, I reached out to several top-rated lawyers on Avvo. They responded, and I was taken aback by the prices. Katya’s fees, considering her high rating, turned out to be the most reasonable, and we decided to work together. Katya analyzed my initial data and set a task to "fill in the gaps“ based on the criteria. It's not a quick process, but step by step, I started closing them. I had to establish an LLC in the United States, preregistering the EIN there, and create a business plan. The goal was to make it clear to the officers reviewing the case that I intended to continue working in America, not just relying on taxpayers. The most nerve-wracking part for me began when we received a request for additional evidence (RFE). The officer nitpicked every detail. In a panic, I started detailing where, what, and how things were proved, even though I shouldn't have. But the anxiety had nowhere to go, turning into a detailed response to each of the officer's claims. I sent this document to Katya as the basis for drafting an official response to the RFE. I was pleasantly surprised when I received Katy’as version. While I emphasized cause-and-effect relationships and provided factual evidence in my defense, Katya’s version simply dismantled the officer's claims. As it turned out, 99% of these claims were completely illegitimate. The officer would write, "You provide these pieces of evidence, but they don't fit; give others." In my version, I would provide other evidence, and Katya would write that according to the law, these pieces of evidence are suitable, and the officer is incompetent and exceeding their authority—naturally, in very polite terms. We won the case! Thanks to Katya and her team for excellent work, achieving the desired result, and for patiently handling my avalanche of worries—this is also very valuable, especially when your fate is literally in the hands of your lawyer. PS: Payments can be split into parts. The path seems insurmountable only at the beginning. But after the first step, each subsequent one becomes more and more realistic. If someone had told me a year ago where I would be now, I wouldn't have believed it. Your inner saboteur is your enemy, and he’s lying.
