Eric helped us settle a situation where a major bank had lost track of records for a time deposit certificate issue in the early 1980's. The bank did not want to honor the certificate since they had no records of it and had been issued before a number of mergers had occurred. Contacted Eric at Attorney West Seattle after seeing on the internet that he had successfully negotiated for settlement funds for other folks who were caught in the same situation. Eric was very professional and courteous listening to us explain our situation. He explained clearly how the process would go, and gave very realistic estimation of how long the process would go. He stated up front what the financial agreement would be (a percentage contingency of any recovered funds). The process took over 6 months, as he had estimated. He took care of everything for us. Whenever we had a question or wanted an update he responded helpfully and courteously. He negotiated a very reasonable settlement with the bank, considering we were going to get nothing without him. In the process of settling the estate we had some difficult and challenging and disappointing situations with professionals that we depended on. Not the case with Eric. He made us feel really comfortable and confident and respected the trust we put in him. It was very refreshing to work with someone like him and would highly recommend him.

If you inherited a bond from a bank that no longer exists (the old bank was essentially bought out by a bigger bank that is still around), Eric is the lawyer you need. I found Eric by googling lawyers that specialized in this issue. I saw he had a segment on the local news channel. The client on the segment had a bank bond that looked exactly like mine. I emailed Eric right away after seeing that. He was kind, professional and helpful anytime I had questions or wanted an update. I am so happy he was able to get my rightful proceeds without any headache on my end!

I am a professional art handler and was hired by an elderly client to move his 150 piece art collection to his new 3 million dollar home. We agreed on a price for packing the first 30 artworks, I collected a deposit and we signed a contract. I did the work and then provided an invoice and an estimate for the next phase of packing the remaining larger pieces. My client said that he misunderstood our agreement and thought my initial price was for the entire project. He offered me $1,500 (out of $4,130 owed) to settle and told me he would counter sue me for damages. Eric called me back right away and was up front with his assessment that pursuing legal action against my client was probably more stressful and time consuming than it was worth, given the small amount of money involved. He was respectful of me as a small business owner and the work that I had done and reassured me that I was in the right. He patiently explained the legality of my case and advised me to make a counter offer of settling for $2,500 with my client, rather than pursuing legal action. Eric gave me the confidence and knowledge that I needed to handle the situation professionally. A welcome boost after 2 weeks of stressful negotiations with an angry, senile client.
