Randi is a fantastic Lawyer! I always tell people about her and how amazing she is with all her cases. I never leave reviews but it has been a few years and I need too speak up. it was a long battle and haveing mental illness and pysical issues I had trouble working. living in assisted living if it was not for Randi things would have been worse. they are good now. thank you Randi.

This office was a nightmare from the start. I received a call on Saturday Oct 3 from Lilac City law stating they received a letter - in error - saying that their attorney's fees were not deducted from my settlement. They wanted me to pay them over $4,800 immediately. When I refused because I wanted to check the facts I was told that "first thing Monday morning I would have a garnishment place on my future checks and have to pay a penalty" because I wanted to investigate their claim. Sure enough their money was deducted, they just hadn't been paid yet because things have been slow to process due to the corona virus. I can understand them wanting their money, but to call someone demanding thousands of dollars and then threaten them with garnishment is outrageous. What was said was "we will have your entire check garnished until we get paid in full". Wow, what a nice person. If they just would have checked the facts they would have seen that my award letter clearly shows that her fee was deducted, and she followed up with the agency on Aug 24 as to where the payment was and was told it was still pending. Simply doing math, and calculating 25% of my settlement would have also backed up the fact that the money was deducted. They didn't bother to check any facts. They received the letter and immediately called me demanding money and using threats. I have spent the entire day on something her incompetent office should have been able to handle. She will be getting her money in 3-5 business days, and I'll be thrilled to have this witch out of my life.

Mine was an usual case in that we were fighting a 20K overpayment determination by SSI against my son. It involved some complex legal language and obscure requirements that were deemed lacking by the SSA in our Special Needs Trust. All the SSI lawyers I spoke with were not interested in tackling such a case. Randi, to her credit, was not only willing but did some preliminary research to define the issues at the heart of the dispute. When it was time to take my appeal to the Administrative Law Judge, I glady hired Randi. She performed with great skill and compassion. We were completely victorious in our appeal!!! Don't hesitate to hire Randi Johnson. Her staff is terrific also.

If there is still such a thing as a neighborhood lawyer, Randi epitomizes that characteristic. What I mean is she lives and works in my community. I've seen her donate her time to giving seminars on social security. She's always accessible and approachable -- very down to earth. Even though my case seemed atypical to me - she made me feel like I wasn't alone and that I could depend on her to navigate the complicated legal system. At the time I could barely get out of bed much less remember what I had done five minutes earlier. I've always been an overfunctioner - a superwoman - a person who was in control and capable of taking care of myself and everyone else - until I got sick. I had to surrender - to let go and turn it over to someone I could trust. Randi was that person and she didn't let me down. Additionally, her staff was always on top of everything - so I was always informed and reminded when needed - which I needed because I forgot things constantly. They put together a competent and compelling case I couldn't even truly comprehend because I really didn't fully understand how sick I had been when I began this process nor how far I had come. But not far enough to where I could go back to full functioning. When it all came together - even though the term "disabled" didn't appeal to me - I knew that this had to happen - that I needed the help social security could offer to get me through the rest of my life. I'm grateful.
