I hired a lawyer previous to Jason for a kinda custody case and she screwed my case all up and charged me a bunch of money, Jason helped me get the visitations I deserved and was reasonably priced. He is very serious attorney and knows what he is doing.

In my divorce case I was very impressed with Mr. Nelson. I several emails I complimented Mr. Nelson and his secretary, Cheryl. on their support and professionalism during a difficult time. That was in 12/17/17. In the final divorce decree the judge awarded me a Qualified Domestic Relation Order (QDRO), for the sum of $41,000, which was to be transferred from my ex-wife's 401k into mine. I was ecstatic, but to this date the QDRO has not been filed, which I have paid for. I finally had to file a complaint with Washington State Bar Association on 4/5/2023.

I hired Jason for my divorce he wasted months of my time. He ignored repeated emails and messages for 4 months, as did his secretary, that cost me thousands in extra child support payments. Now that my divorce is final I've spent almost 2 months trying to get a final statement (which I haven't received a single one since I hired him) and the remaining balance of my retainer. I plan on filing a complaint with the bar next. If you want a lawyer with integrity and and dependability, do not hire Jason Nelson

I hired Jason 4 months into divorce. At first he was very up front and explained things to me thoroughly about what to expect based on my case. Was good at communicating and returning phone calls and emails. Then about 7 months in when I started contacting him and telling him what kinds of terms I was trying to get my wife to settle on, he didn't return calls and emails in a timely manner. When I told him "I dislike attorneys, nothing personal and to do his job", he was real butt hurt. So what did he do, withdrew the day before my pretrial 8 months into the divorce and only a week before trial. Unprofessional individual who thought he was going to be able to put my case on cruise control and do very little.

I was going through a divorce and used Jason for all of it. He and his secretary were quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. Jason is extremely knowledgeable about family law and is very upfront with you about what is and is not realistic. He is very reasonably priced and isn't out to just get your money. Jason genuinely cared about my case. I have referred several people to him in the last year and they all loved him.

I am shocked by the negative reviews. I was in a horrible custody case and as soon has Jason came on, the bullying and everything from the other side stopped. I do not know what I would have done if I was not referred to Jason. I have referred him out to two other people in the last year and they both like him and say positive things about him. He WILL not drowned you in money! He is very caring. He knows his job! I have had to hire him twice now and having him as my attorney is a huge peace of mind. His secretary is amazing also! Jason's prices are amazing .I am a single mother with one income and like I said w/o him, I don't know what I would do.

Jason has been my attorney for the past 7 or 8 years. He has helped me with my complicated case and was always very knowledgeable and let me know what the judge would or wouldn't go for and 90% of the time the case went my way. He does have a lot of clients and that keeps him busy and I knew that so I would call and check on my case cause even though I hired him it's also my responsibility to see what's going on. I recommend him to everyone and a few friends and family continue to use him. He will also tell you if your wasting your money and on the case I'm working with him now has told me "don't go over $800 cause it's a waste of my money" I love him and his secretary. His secretary is extremely knowledgeable and can answer 90% of your questions with out talking to him. They are an amazing team and you won't go wrong when you hire him.

I hired/retained Jason Nelson as my attorney for a custody case.?Jsson ""my hired attorney" just to sure up the records! didn't do anything he said he was going to do... Example show up to court, proceed with court. He actually once proceeded at court without my presence at all. Which eventually lost my case for me

Jason Nelson is the worst attorney. He does not communicate whatsoever and if I try to call his secretary says he will call me back but he has not called me once in 4 months. He won't let you choose what you want the parenting plan to be, he will tell you one thing then write something completely different and refuse to change it. I fired Jason Nelson after 4 months and my new one finished everything in 3 weeks for half the price! Do not use Jason Nelson if you want to have your case worked on, it will sit on his desk while you rack up a bill.

After going through two other big name lawyers here in town and spending $138,672 on my child custody battle because all they did was milk me for every dollar I was referred to Jason Nelson. Best decision I ever made. My only regret is I didn't know of him sooner. I have seen more results with him in two months than in the last three years and haven't broken the bank in fact I'm amazed at how little it is costing me. He is a great attorney who always keeps me informed on the progress he is making. Thank you Jason!

Every time I call, the lawyer and Secretary make up excuses for not keeping me informed. He doesn't do what he's hired to do and refused to type up what I wanted in my parenting plan. I have had it with this lawyer, but can't even get a hold of him to fire him! I didn't feel like he fought for my best interests,and all to the detriment of my children. Now my abusive ex-husband has 50 percent rights to my children, and as a result they are in therapy. If I could sue this lawyer I would!

He never calls you back. You can leave a dozen messages with his receptionist (cause she's the ONLY person you can ever get a hold of), and he STILL won't call you back. All you ever hear is "He's unavailable". Fine then, so is my money.
