My daughter faced serious charges from an incident involving prescription medicine in school. I was initially hesitant to contact an attorney, but with an upcoming move out of state I did not want to risk being unrepresented. The initial charge was incorrect, and Angela discussed it with the prosecutor to get it corrected. At our second court date, Angela again spoke with the prosecutor and reached an alternate agreement. This took it out of the normal legal proceedings, and into a diversion program designed to help kids vs. convicting them. We are so thankful to have found Angela, and that she was available to represent us. To anyone with kids reading this please talk with your children. The school nurse no longer holds prescription meds in the office. This puts full liability on the kids, which is somewhat unrealistic at such a young age. Any exchange between students is treated the same as illicit or controlled substances. IMHO doctors and pharmacists should reiterate the repercussions and minors should not be allowed to carry their prescriptions around other kids. They should instead only be available in the nurse's office. I highly recommend Horwath Law. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and caring. I appreciated how nothing was sugar-coated so I knew what the worst case could be. This whole ordeal has been very trying and stressful, but we are grateful because it could have been so much worse. Thanks again, Angela! You have done so much for our family that we cannot begin to tell you how much it means.
