Dan has been a true advocate for helping my family and I through a difficult situation. Finding yourself in a position that could take everything from you is never easy, but having him in your corner provides a genuine peace of mind. He is a true professional that got me the best possible outcome, one that I didn’t expect. He has always made himself available to answer my concerns and questions with honesty and respect. The best move I ever made was to have him represent me. If there were more stars available I would give them.

While I haven't personally yet met Dan, I have the utmost respect for him because of the phenomenal way he's been taking care of some challenges my son has recently run into. "I was arrested for DUI and at first I had a different attorney. Even though I had no prior history, the prosecutor would not agree to reduce the charge. I hired Dan Gerl hoping it would make a difference. Dan gave me no guarantees other than that he would fight as hard as he could for me. Dan discovered that the law enforcement agency negligently allowed key evidence to be destroyed and tried to get the case thrown out based on that. The court denied his request, but later Dan was able to get the case thrown out by persuading the court that the officer who stopped me had no lawful basis to do so. I got a speeding ticket back on 2012 in the area of Tacoma, WA. I did not want to take the time off work to fight it so I retained Dan. He got it dismissed and it was such a relieve knowing this ticket would not go on my record. I highly recommend him, his the man! Thanks Dan!

When I had my run in with the law I was visiting WA from another state. I left a voice mail for Mr. Gerl seeking assistance very early in the morning (nothing good happens between midnight and 6 am). Needless to say I was freaking out. He called me back within a few minutes, and set up a face to face meeting the same day. He relieved some of my anxiety by letting me know what I was facing, and what he could do for me. I never felt like he was trying to handle me or promise me something unattainable, and he genuinely cared about what I was going through. Dan walked me through the whole process, had the court schedule my case around me being out of state. He answered my calls, texts and emails promptly...even when I know I was being a pain... In the end because of the excellent work Dan did my case turned out in my favor. I would highly recommend Mr Gerl to anyone in need of legal assistance.

Dan represented me in a DV case. He handled it as if I was his only client. I was very impressed with the amount of time that he put into it. He was able to very clearly explain all of the steps of the legal process and walked me through everything. He genuinely cared about my case from the first time we talked all the way through the trial day. His representation resulted in a dismissal of my case. Dan helped me with a Boating Under the Influence charge. Since this is a fairly new law in Washington state he had to do some additional research to determine the best way to fight the charge. In July of 2015 I was arrested for DUI. I am an older person and this was the first time I'd ever been arrested for DUI. I did not realize how severe the mandatory minimum sentence for a DUI conviction is in Washington State and this caused me a great deal of anxiety. Fortunately, Dan was able to explain and walk me through the process and obtain the outcome I desired. Dan was able to plea the charge down to Negligent Driving by the time of my Preliminary Hearing which was a huge relief. I suspect there was a good chance Dan could have obtained a not guilty verdict had we gone to trial but the King County District Court system is difficult and uncertain and I just wanted to favorably end my ordeal which Dan accomplished.

Dan is the man, Was patient with my case, never let up on the prosecutor, and took them to trial. He knew his stuff, and ultimately got be a better deal than I ever expected. Aswell he always answered my calls. He was recommend to me by a friend, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who has found themselves in a bad situation. Seriously Thank You Dan!

Dan was awesome with my case. He was able to get the charge amended to a lesser one and made sure I knew what I was getting jnto. In a case where it first looked like I was certainly going to do at least 6 months in jail, he was able to reduce the time spent to just under a month. It was obvious other lawyers and the judges respected Dan. I would recommend him to anyone!

He got me out of a unattended driver ticket! Nice guy too.
