I went to Dennis in Feb of 2016 needed his work for a custody case. Dennis was fare about the amount and is a very personable person. What I like about him is that he's straight forward and was in it for the best interest of my daughter. He is pretty good about getting back to you at a reasonable time as well which is another thing I liked about him. He also is a father so I think he understands the importance of making sure the child is safe and it's not just about winning. I would definitely recommend him.

Martin is one of the most experienced attorneys I know. He is very down to earth and will tell it to you straight. He cares about helping people and will take the time to expalin everything. I'm giving Kurt 5 stars because he is a very genuine, professional, and great lawyer. Before hiring him I called around to plenty of lawyers most before even fully listening to my case "I'm gonna need $ payment" "Payment" "Payment" Not Kurt, not only did he take time out of his own day to talk about my case but he also gave me examples of what happened in some of his other cases which related to mine, that really helped me feel comfortable. I was facing assault 2 with a possible gun enhancement in which I believe is 3-9 months jail time. Kurt got it down to a gross misdemeanor, NO jail time! Need I say more? If you need a lawyer in the Tacoma area Kurt Stender is the one to go to!

I hired Dennis a few months before I was scheduled to be in trial because I was having a hard time getting a hold of my previous attorney. Dennis is easy to talk to and pays close attention to detail; he was upfront and realistic about the possible outcomes that could've come with new counsel so close to trial. However, he was able to cram in a very short period of time and was well prepared for a settlement conference, pre-trial hearing, and in trial. Dennis took advantage of my ex attempting to represent herself. His questioning caught her contradicting herself and brought out her true colors. The judges ruling reversed a 7 month no contact restraining order against me, and granted me full custody of our 2 kids. It seemed like Dennis was always a step ahead whether it be filing court documents, contacting involved parties, or obtaining necessary information. I am very pleased with my decision to hire Dennis, and amazed with the outcome he was able to produce for my case. I would recommend Dennis to anyone going through a tough family or criminal law case. He's the third attorney I've had on this case and I was most relieved once he started on it.
