Mr. Richard did a phenomenal job on my case.With my case already being in process, I thought there was no hope. Once I had explained my side of the story, he jumped right on it. I was a little suprised, because some lawyers take for ever to help you out. I can honestly say that, everything that Mr. Richard stated he would do, he accomplished it. Him and his law firm has truly helped me, and I'm so thankful and blessed that I found him in the little time I did.

I was introduced to Mr. Ricketts because I was going through a divorce and was seeking shared custody of my children. Three previous lawyers told me that the State of Washington isn't friendly to fathers seeking shared custody. When I met with Mr. Ricketts, he cited several cases and was very optimistic about my outcome. He also said that the State of Washington wasn't traditionally a father friendly state, but after he reviewed my case, he said he was hopeful. Ricketts is extremely knowledgeable , and is able to share his knowledge and guidance without arrogance or condescension. We have had only a few occasions to consult with a lawyer and ended up feeling used and abused and charged for every two minute phone conversation. Then we met Ricketts. Our community theatre was at a major cross roads and in need of help with negotiating the murky waters of non-profit applications, bi-laws, etc.. Richard took my case at the last minute, he jumped in as my divorce and custody attorney. He was through, professional, and most of all truly cared. Although the opposing counsel was uncooperative and at times hostile. He conducted himself in my best interest and for the best interest of my children. My case went to a lenghly trial, I never felt overwhelmed or stressed, because he has such a calming presence about him I felt calm just sitting next to him. Richard came in at a time when I truely thought there was no way I could do what my heart was screaming at me to do for my child. He has such an incrediable energy about him. He helped me to be calm, to remember to Breath ( LOL ) and to take things one step at a time. I went through a divorce from a marriage that was over 15 years long. Richard made it simple for us and reduced the anxiety that one would normally expect. We had one visit, the rest was through e-mail. We never had to go to court. We had no surprises and the price was excellent. I had an attorney drop me 2 days before the Settlement Conference of my divorce. I was in a real panic as to what to do. Volunteer Legal told me where to find Richard and Richard saw me that very day. He spent all night reviewing my case and preparing all of my paperwork. He personally handed them to the judge the next day and explained why they were late. Richard didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear; he told me what I needed to hear.
