Attorney Nigel Malden is an attorney of honesty, credibility, loyalty and integrity! My husband and I needed an attorney to help us in a very difficult case that we needed legal representation on. We really needed an attorney who could adequately, thoroughly, and intently review our case to evaluate our response and our opponents allegations. Attorney Nigel Malden and his legal assistant worked together to form a legal defense on our case and was successful in presenting to the Court our rights as citizens to have our surveillance cameras to protect our home, which was previously ordered by a Judge to remove. He was successful by presenting to the court the lies, inconsistencies, and the police report of the false allegations of our opponents. Our opponent over the years has gotten away with harassment's against us even through the court system. Attorney Nigel Malden was successful by his representation to the court exposing our opponent harassment against us. Our opponent was not only granted a 1 year anti harassment but a 2 year anti harassment order. Our opponent was able for years to get away with their harassment's even when we had provided proof in court of their harassment's.. Attorney Nigel Malden was successful by presenting to the court that we as citizens have a right not be limited to be 10 feet away from our own property that was previously ordered by a Judge. Attorney Nigel Malden is an answer for anybody who are seeking an Attorney who would fight for them for justice, truth, and your rights. If you want an attorney who will fight for you with all he has within him,(similar to a Father defending his children) by his legal knowledge, profession and expertise..He is kind, gentle, warm and friendly, but a powerhouse in the courtroom.. When Attorney Nigel Malden is in the court room representing you it's like the movie "Showdown at the okay coral..You truly can count on Attorney Nigel Malden, he is the Attorney for you..

If you want a good loyal honest attorney Nigel Malden is the man for you. My husband and I had a case that we needed an attorney fast. I did not know where to turn so I went to the telephone book.. I called Attorney Nigel Malden's office. His Legal assistant is a very kind, warm and friendly lady. I explained what our case was about his legal assistant informed me to send the documents that I had regarding myself and husband's case, and she would discuss it with Attorney Malden. After submitting the documents requested it was within two days we got a response from Mr. Malden's office to inform us that he would represent us. We had a meeting at his office and the very first time that my husband and myself met Mr. Malden and his legal assistant. We felt like we had known them a long time because they both have a warm friendly way of making you feel very comfortable. After Mr. Malden finished reviewing our documents he told us the pros and cons of what could possibly be the outcome of our case. Mr. Malden detailed with us how he would present our case before the Court. Mr. Malden gave us advice how we should act and respond to questions that were asked of us by the Judge himself or the opposite party's attorney. He kept us focused on what was important and the things that were not, he advised us accordingly. Mr. Malden gave us ample time to discuss our case, he inquired of us if we understood what he was saying whether it was a legal answer or regarding what we might expect in court. Mr. Malden is a very friendly attorney with expertise and experience in the law. On our Court day Mr. Malden put his all into presenting our case with vigor, power and strength. He put his all into representing us with a 1-2-3 sucker punch he came out swinging hard and heavy with the law, evidence and the hard truth. We are so proud of Mr. Malden's representation. I was so proud of him that I wanted to jump out of my seat with joy to give him a big hug right there in the courtroom but I didn't, I waited until court was over then gave him a big hug and a thank you,my husband was very pleased also. If we ever need any legal representation Mr. Malden is the attorney that we would call in a heart beat..He is very unique he is not your average attorney he's not only an attorney but the way he operates in the courtroom I see him as a General who knows how to take the lead. I have a nickname for Mr. Malden I call him Mr. General. My husband and I recommend anybody if you need legal help or representation please do not hesitate to contact attorney Nigel Malden. We guarantee, you will be glad that you did. Thank you for listening.

In the past 20-some years Bob has represented me 4 times. Twice he defended me against criminal charges, and twice was my advocate for injury claims. He was at all times most personable a friendly and always explained the realities of my situation and made sure that I understood what was going on. In all cases he obtained favorable results. His fees for criminal defense were less than what other lawyers quoted me and yet he went full out on my behalf as if I was his only client. (He is a sole practitioner and is sometimes very very busy.) Once he was too busy to take a case from me and referred me to another lawyer who handled my case with high competence and who obtained a great result for my claim. In addition to criminal defense and personal injury work, Bob has assisted my brother, (who is a musician), with some entertainment contracts and is well versed in entertainment law. There are truly not enough stars to rate how helpful Bob is!

Competent, experienced, empathetic, and results-driven Ryan is competent, empathetic, experienced, results-driven, and successful. Ryan’s knowledge of the law and process is immense and obvious. He invests in the client’s case, and future. He listens, calms, and educates effectively. Most importantly, he’s empathetic and focused. One feels like he/she is Ryan’s only client. There are no guarantees in life, but from my experience, Ryan guaranteed me great service, which was followed by success. I highly recommend Ryan.

Going through bankruptcy can be very difficult and stressful. Mr. Bill Beecher is very relatable, knowledgeable and has been working in this industry for many years. He explains all the necessary steps to follow to insure a smooth process. He's very easy to get in contact for questions and concerns. Whether, I left a voice message or email, he responded promptly. He definitely makes you feel like you're his number one priority, although he may be busy with other clients. I was originally referred to him by a friend. Unfortunately, I had to retain him twice, and each time was super impressed and grateful with his services.

Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Tacoma, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
