I was up against multiple specification of a bogus charge that had the potential to follow me the rest of my life. I called UCMJDefender and Joselyn immediately brought Sean Mangan in on the consultation call to begin working through my case. Throughout the process Sean was checking in to ensure that I was doing alright and to update me on my case. His firm brought in excellent consultants and experts to testify on my behalf. Throughout the trial he and my team overwealmingly showed that the government's' case was weak and I was found Not Guilty; additionally he inserted case law that would trigger an appellate review and trial, he plays chess where the government prosecutors are playing checkers.

Mr Kolke took my money then didn’t call or file the correct documents. He was late 4 hours to Trial. My divorce was final & he was notified on September 16, 2020 . I found out I was divorce by checking online September 21, 2020. He has refuses to tell me legally what is in the final order .My x husband has been harassing the day after the trial 07.13.2020 & I ask for him to file a no contact order . The courts will not allow me to do it because he is the lawyer on file . My x husband call the mortgage company & change the terms of the loan which they can report the loan is in rears because he took convert 19 variance loan on it , on September 22, 2020 & the decree was final September 16, 2020 & i the was awarded the home , but he has not followed through by filing a quick claim deed . I have called his office , which by the way is not his office . He only meets people there to put a fake Appearance. He also Represented other family members and did not tell me till the day before of trial , which my x husband use them against me . My x is refusing to pay the credit card debts that was occurred in our 28 years of marriage , and somehow got the Judge to award my x husband 120.000 lien on the home after stealing all of the 401 k and leaving my son& I to go on food stamps .Mr . Kolke failed to subpoena my x husband’s W-2s or bank statements for the last three years but did request & took mine and I had no income other than my Social Security of $200 a month & x husband told the judge he didn’t have a computer & have 2 paystub that were lowest ones & said he wasn’t working due to the covert 19 . The trial took three days and the third day my ex-husband told the judge that he was missing the third day of work and this is after he told the judge that he wasn’t working and got away with that. Mr Kolke didn’t object . To this date , Mr. Kolke still refuses to complete the documents from the divorce & I still do not know all the legal ramifications in final decree . I’m told that the judge made award on the home to me that was not legal and I cannot get answers and did send a declaration to the court asking about them but I have not gotten a response yet because Mr Kolke is the lawyer on file ..I can’t even file a no contact order because Mr. Kolke is the lawyer on file. My home will go in default starting next week because I still have no answer . Mr Kolke wasn’t against any smart Lawyer , he went up against my x husband who represent Himself & Judge Chushoff who was bias from the start & did the paper work for my x husband & yet again Mr Kolke didn’t object or file any motions on my behalf or my son. Oh he even got my son child support reduce that dshs had verified his pay . maybe the court should’ve had use dshs doc instead of just taking my x word saying “ I couldn’t get my taxes because I didn’t have a computer. It was my understanding that the court could pull that at anytime. Say a prayer for us because we are going to be on the streets , after & what mr Kolke is still doing .

Desmond Kolke has a heart for justice and taking care of his clients. I first started working with him almost a year ago in what seemed like a simple case. It has not been. And yet, Mr. Kolke has worked tirelessly on this case and the continuing issue. He gives sound legal advice. I hired Sam in September 2019 after reading the high reviews online. At $300/HR I expected him to live up to the reviews posted for him. Wow, was I wrong! It ended up being the biggest waste of $7,300. For $7,300 I got two appearances out of him, one in Kitsap County, he charged me for an hour of time and about 2 hours for travel and one in Pierce County for an hour plus travel time (court is right next to his office…He charges in 10-minute increments). I was left to do my own parenting plan and child support order. When I first met with Sam, I was clear I needed a protection order, parenting plan and child support order. I was also clear I wasn’t made of money, as I had just had a baby and was still on maternity leave. I did not know how to navigate the domestic violence side of the legal system, I was scared and wanted to ensure my son and myself were kept safe. Instead I got a lot of empty promises and my retainer was eaten up in “meetings” and “soft costs” but little action. Sam appeared in Court with me to get the protection order. I had already filled all the paperwork and received a temporary protection order on my own. While we were in front of the judge, Sam made it clear we would have a parenting plan filed the following week with the court. Well the week came and went with no parenting plan from Sam’s office. I would request the status and either it would be ignored or I was told they would have a draft to me in a few days. It would be 6 weeks before I would see a parenting plan rough draft. However, during those 6 weeks the domestic violence continued to escalate. I tried to get ahold of Sam for guidance but when my calls and emails went unanswered, I followed the direction of law enforcement. When my domestic violence situation escalated to the point where my son’s father showed up to my place of employment, Sam’s office finally returned my phone calls and instructed me to go through them on any further legal action against my son’s father. It was hard to make that happen in emergency situations, especially when my paid representation wasn’t responding to my phone calls and e-mails. I ended the relationship when Sam failed to produce the products I paid for and was requesting more money. I should have at least had a parenting plan I could have used for the $7,300 paid to his office. There was no need to pay more to his office who unable to provide a finished product. My overall experience with him boiled down to this… he’s charismatic and likes to put on a good show but lacks the sense of urgency/knowledge needed in DV cases. If you are going through domestic violence and have children, find a more experience attorney or contact the court facilitator. I was able to get all my family law paperwork submitted on my own with the help of the court Domestic Violence advocates and court facilitator. Yes, it was scary at first; but it was also very empowering to take a front seat in the decision-making process that will impact my family’s future for years to come. The cost of using the help of the court and advocates was only about $50.

Her communication never left me feeling lonely. She constantly made sure to keep me informed about not only the process, but also what her and her team were doing. She didn't hesitate to answer any of my questions. Jocelyn was the reason I had a voice, my only regret is not finding her sooner to avoid some of the hassles the Army caused. She aggressively hunts down and finds answers. I hope to never be in a position that I need her again, though if I am, she's on speed dial.

Mr. Page joined our team at a very late stage in a parenting plan modification gone-awry. My former counsel had completely dropped the ball, the GAL we'd hired was out of control and in the pocket of my ex-wife and her counsel.
