Rich and Devin are amazing (Connie too!). They are incredibly well versed in the law and will tell you honestly about your case. Throughout the mitigation process I felt completely guided and heard, and never once like I was being told something other than the truth. Outside of being amazing lawyers, they are amazing people with a great sense of humor! Devin went out of her way to make me feel comfortable, and Rich was always available to give me solid guidance and tell me his honest opinion based on decades of law work. Where to start. I am a 58 year old woman who had a career in banking for 30 years and made a change to state government in 2012. My whole career I had an outstanding employment record. Never in my life did I expect to ever have an issue with my employer. This changed overnight with a handful of bad supervisors and upper management that allowed unimaginable treatment and somehow let it be acceptable working for the State of Washington. When I had tried to speak up and protect myself and others my career was taken out from under me. I was referred to Richard Wooster to discuss my options. Richard met with me and explained the process of filing a tort claim. He explained that an employment lawsuit is not an easy process. When horrible things are happening to you want them to stop and stop fast. Being naïve I thought when my employer received the filing of my tort claim that they would immediately research what had been happening to myself and the other employees in my office. I soon learned that they only ramp up and start retaliating and isolating you to get you to give up. I also learned that there are months that go by that you will feel nothing is happening because the process is very drawn out. During my case COVID hit which slowed matters down even more. It wasn’t until 6 or 7 months before my trial that I really started to see the intricacies of the case and how much work goes into a case. Hours and long weekends spent by Richard Wooster and also Devin Epp who assisted in my case. The time they spent preparing and responding to all of the motions that come in prior to the actual trial was again something I was not aware. I truly felt like I was their only client. There will be a time when settlement talks start from my own experience, I wasn’t willing to budge because I wanted to go to trial and have my voice be heard. My trial started on 5/31/2023 and it has taken me about 3 months to get my life back to normal. A trial is intense, exhausting and you must be prepared to relive your nightmare. In hindsight I really wish I would have been more open to settlement talks. Richard advised me of how intense the trial would be, but he respected my wishes, and we went to trial. A whole month before trial Richard and Devin met with my witnesses and prepared myself for the trial. When the trail started I had so much confidence in my legal team. I watched the Judge gain respect for Richard and Devin the very first morning of my 8-day trial. Things you don’t know having never experienced being in a court room, when the judge starts showing your legal team respect the jury picks up on this. Their professionalism and their knowledge of the law out shinned the defense by miles. I wouldn’t have wanted to be in that court room with any other counsel. I end my review of this law firm is that they are the best of the best. You as a client need to have patience with the process. You also must be a good client and help participate with your story with documentation. If you provide the documentation this legal team will tell your story with facts and confidence. I don't know who I spoke with on the phone today as she didn't give her name. After I explained what I was calling about (not knowing exactly what kind of lawyer I might need), I was dismissed with something along the lines of "I'm not a lawyer so I can't tell you what to do." Well yeah, I get that, but that's when she could have told me she would ask one of the attorneys and gotten back to me. Nope. Just "do you still work there?" and "I'm not a lawyer so I don't know." Incredibly poor customer service from whoever I was talking with.

Huge waste of time, was represented by Peter Kram for a few years in which my legal situation basically came to a stand still. Upon finding new representation, my affairs moved forward by leaps and bounds.

I had a cut and dry claim regarding discrimination but this firm clearly had no interest. Despite numerous higher court decisions regarding the matter which would have benefitted our claim and resulted in a judgement against a large local university. Unfortunately, law firms do have the right to choose what cases they take on. Without any actual conversation or return phone call, I can only suggest looking to another law firm for you legal needs. Better chance of someone answering the phone, or calling you back, and even listening to your issue.
