Mike was genuine and cared during the worst time in my life. Mike was always on time, prepared, calm, collected, and ready to go to bat for me. I had 100% confidence in the outcome of my case and Mike refused to be pushed around and obtained a complete dismissal of level 2 felony charges. Would 100% recommend mike 100%.

I was charged with a burglary 1st degree, assault 2nd degree, felony harassment, and malicious mischief, I thought I was going away for a long time. He was so confident in his ability to tear down a witness, and win over a jury that I didn't hesitate to take it to trial, he did Exactly what he claimed he could do and I will never forget it. I'm thankful to have had him as my attorney. I went home after 3 days of trial with a malicious mischief 3rd degree, time served no probation no anything just some court fines. So that's my review for Micheal Maltby. Be straight with him and he will work magic for you.

As a first timer in this type of situation I called many attorneys to find the best fit for my case. Mr. Malay was the best I spoke to! He was confident and extremely knowledgable. He immediately put me at ease. Michael Maltby worked tirelessly on my behalf and was able to get the charge reduced.. He is a kind and hard working person that will go out of his way for his clients. He definitely is an exception. I know that no other attorney would have worked as hard to defend me!

Mr. Maltby worked miracles for me. I was being charged with ten felonies and was scared senseless. From our first meeting he was in 100%. He fought for me until the very end. Not just as a lawyer but as a person who genuinely cared about my well being. He took the time to talk to me about what was going in my life to get me to where I was. He then cared enough to give me some very helpful advise. His wisdom and general determination to help me went above and beyond. In the end he got me an exceptional sentence downward saving me from doing ANY jail time on these charges. Thank you Mr. Maltby. I was very lucky to have you on my side.

I had Mr. Maltby represent me on a couple old DUIs and other assorted traffic violations. He was swift, efficient, understanding, and compassionate. I got nothing but great advice from him and the matters were resolved quickly. I am more than satisfied with his representation and would not hesitate to hire him again. I am going to refer him to anyone I know in need of a lawyer.

First and foremost I would like to thank the Lord and give a great big round of applause for the outstanding performance of service, duty, loyalty and honesty provided to me, by my Attorney Mr. Malbty .
Mr Maltby was a blessing to me, he came into my life when I was literally at the lowest point in my life. I was arrested ,placed in jail, fired from my job of 14 years, about to lose my miltary pension or benifits, lost the right to carry a weapon, also I was facing at least ten years of jail or prsion, if convicted of the three charges, two assaults in the 2nd degree and felony harassment with a fire arm. When Mr Maltby first came to visit me in jail , He was the first person I talked to after my arrest , I cried. After we talked Mr Malbty told me before he left, to keep my spirits up and not to worry he would do all the worrying and work.
Once I was out of jail Mr.Maltby kept me abreast of everything, he assured me that he would work hard and fight for me to achieve a good outcome , he made me feel very confident every phase of my trial dates.
I had many other things going on with my life, trying to get my job back, needed permission to carry a weapon , could not draw unemployment. He worked with me financially at the level of income I had at the time. Mr Maltby told me I plan to work to get you back out there into your career field and get you back to your life. This he did do , He got all the charges against me dismissed and all restraining orders removed, I was allowed to carry a weapon again and returned to my job after a year, with back pay. I would highly recommend Mr Maltby to anyone else in need of a great Attorney, one that cares and you can trully trust and depend on.
Once again thanks Mr Maltby.

I drew Mike Maltby as my court appointed defense attorney in December of 2010 when I was arraigned on felony assault charges (i.e., Felony Harassment and Assault). Although the details surrounding the incident which resulted in the charges filed were such that most persons might not be terribly concerned with the outcome of the proceedings (I was awakened on the morning after Thanksgiving by an intruder in my home, and was facing criminal charges for allegedly assaulting and [verbally] threatening to kill the intruder), my extensive criminal history and the lack of witnesses supporting my claims of household defense gave adequate cause for me to be legitimately concerned for the outcome of these very serious charges. Because my personal experience with court appointed counsel has never been positive enough for me to develop a favorable opinion of attorneys working under assigned conditions, I was giving serious consideration to selling everything but my immortal soul to retain the best representation my meager finances could afford. Nevertheless, seeking to be compliant with the directives of my release conditions, I contacted Mr. Maltby via telephone upon being released on bail. My first interaction with Mike was a lengthy [phone] conversation wherein, despite his statement that he was very busy and did not have much unscheduled time to give me at the moment, he demonstrated genuine interest and seemingly infinite patience as he took the time to listen to and query me on the details of my case. Feeling reassured by the intuitive insight and professionalism he demonstrated during more than an hour of conversation, I remember wondering, after I hung-up the phone, if this guy was aware of how little assigned counsel received as compensation for their efforts. Needless to say, I postponed my "everything must sell!" garage sale. I met Mike Maltby in person for the first time at my home, where he interviewed me and carefully examined the scene of the alleged crime(s). Once again I found him to be intuitive and very easy to talk to. As our visit ended, having been completely honest and still being uncertain whether I was technically guilty of a crime, I asked Mike if, in his opinion, I was guilty of a crime and if so, whether I should seek a lucrative plea agreement. Although as court appointed counsel I expected him to seek any opportunity for an expeditious resolution, Mike, to his credit, surprised me again. He told me that it was not his job to determine guilt or innocence, but rather to provide the very best defense counsel he possibly could, and that he intended to do nothing less. Period. He also expressed genuine sympathy for the difficulties I was experiencing as a result of the incident, and advised me not to be so quick to condemn myself. In the weeks that followed, Mike never failed to uphold the highest ethical standard as he tirelessly pursued my acquittal via multiple defense strategies. On April 6th, much to my amazement, he presented me with an agreement for a recommended sentence of three days in jail (with credit for time served) in exchange for a plea of guilty to the charge of Fourth Degree Assault, a misdemeanor. Although Mike was determined to battle for my acquittal at trial if necessary, I graciously accepted the plea agreement, preferring this speedy resolution to the potential consequence of a worst case scenario. Tomorrow I will face a Superior Court Judge for sentencing with Attorney, Mike Maltby at my side and, regardless of the outcome, I can honestly say that I have never before in my life felt so well represented.
