Had Courtney Mendoza as my lawyer. Was a full time stay at home mom with a full time working dad. I said I would rather not get divorced if custody was anything close to equal split, and was in tears saying I think I was being gaslighted, but not sure how much. Went to court and she encouraged me to not submit evidence in order to not show our hand. Well, 2 years later, you get your opportunity. File for separation if you want to keep your custody or you may find the courts stacked to redirect parenting time to 50/50 regardless of any parenting issues or whatever you built your kids' lives upon--it won't be enough to overpower their desire for shared parenting.

This is a public post, so I don't want to detail my experience. But I will say: Nathan is an excellent, competent attorney, good advocate, and thoughtful as he helps you navigate your case. I recommend him very highly.

During my custody case Nathan often berated me and was cruel to me. I had my counselor call him to explain to him that you can't treat someone with PTSD like that. He just charged me for the time my counselor spoke to him and went on treating me badly. He could not seem to keep the facts straight and seemed to be working for the other side. One time after court I was in the bathroom crying and when I came out he is standing there with my ex and his attorney talking like they are all friends and it often seemed that he wanted my ex to win. He also seemed to not read my emails before replying because the just didn't make any sense.

Nathan and his team are very thorough, professional and have made this process as easy as it can be, all things considered. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality representation and a great understanding of the law. He is kind, good at listening and willing to tell you what you need to hear, which can be difficult at times.
