I felt that Rory Flay of McKinley Irvin was out to hurt me as much as my now ex-husband was. He attempted to get me to agree to submitted child support worksheets that contained elementary math errors, such as increasing my income with the child support amount in the spousal support column. There was an instance where his appraiser did not show when scheduled (at the last minute) and Mr. Flay attempted to falsely twist words so that in an email to my counsel it appeared that I was the one who was not available. Mr. Flay even attempted to readjust the temporary child support amount for final settlement reflecting my ex’s “new job” at minimum wage, rather than his normal $90,000 per year job that he’s been working at for over 22 years. It usually took many attempts to get Mr. Flay to respond to my counsel's enquiries, ultimately dragging a somewhat simple divorce out over a year and increasing the cost. I felt that my son and I were in danger with this guy on the opposite side of the table.

I still get asked by people how in the world did I get through such a dramatic divorce so quickly and I reply "with the best divorce attorney one could possibly acquire." I highly recommend Lisa as the most effective divorce attorney around. If it weren't for her being my lawyer, my outcome would've been a tragedy, but instead it was a complete win both mentally and financially.

There really aren’t words to describe what Lisa Ward has done for me. Lisa took a very messy and extremely complicated anti-harassment case against me and with true skill got it dismissed. I was so blindsided by the case against me that when I came to Lisa my anxiety was at an all-time high. Starting Tuesday we tried to contact this law firm for an attorney after a referral. The person stated that a intake person would contact us within 30 minutes. That didn’t happened. My daughter was in a urgent need of a attorney so we called several times and we just got a answering machine response to leave a message. The next day my daughter went into the Vancouver office and receptionist said we would receive a e mail setting up a interview time before the end of the day. That didn’t happen. We again called and sent another E mail and that person said for us to either E mail or call to schedule a consultation. When we E mailed the person we received a auto reply message that she will be out of town until next Tuesday! Finally today, 4 days later, they contacted us and my daughter talked to a person who then informed her that they couldn’t help her until September! The question is if they are that busy or they don’t want to help a potential client, why not just say that so we could move on.

Lisa Martin was very helpful and caring. She was there when I couldn’t be for my mother. I really appreciate her help during the divorce. A wee bit spendier than others but it was totally worth it

I spent $62,000 on a divorce/custody case and got nowhere. Ended up firing them and hiring someone else. They also had the nerve to raise their hourly rate by $50, after I'd signed a contract. Do NOT hire them!!!!!
