Great firm that is detail oriented and listens to what you want while being realistic about your choices. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the 2 attorneys I had as well as their paralegal. Mine was a pong arduous divorce but I always knew they were their to represent my son’s and my best interest. Thanks, McKinley Irvin!

I can't recommend Teresa Foster enough; only wished I hired her sooner. She is diligent, professional, direct, and a necessary asset for any divorce or custody battle, especially in a high-conflict divorce such as mine. Teresa is clearly an expert in her field, will fight for you, and treat you will respect.

Casey Sanders represented myself in a post educational support case in which he did a great job from beginning to end. He guided me through the process and completed everything he said he would. He was very cautious with my expectations of the outcome. I would recommend Casey to anyone in need of representation in any type of family law situation.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Lisa Ward for the past half year as we navigated our way through a sticky relocation case. She excelled in nearly every facet of the case from litigation to her in depth knowledge of case law. But what will always stick with me was her honesty, integrity and emotional investment in our case. She never told us what we wanted to hear or promised us anything. But she was always responsive and caring in relation to our case. We did win the case but even if we had lost we were comfortable with the outcome as Lisa truly did everything possible- even when other attorneys said we had no chance. Lisa Ward is an amazing attorney that we will forever be grateful for.

Horrible experience with this firm. Matt was my lawyer and he really took me for everything he could which was odd since he was suppose to be my lawyer. Delayed filing for child custody for five months. Only returned one phone call in eight months and it was him yelling at me for being upset with him never returning my phone calls; he always chose emails and charged outrages rates for them. Failed to file the correct paperwork and failed to use the correct verbiage for a mutually deeded home thus now I require another lawyer to fix his mistake. Would definitely suggest seeking representation elsewhere, with someone that has your best interests in mind. I failed to mention some very important details in my original review. They have no clue how to assist those in the military! Matt lied about having an attorney in the firm, located in Seattle, that dealt with military divorces. He never got back to me on how my retirement would be effected or steps I needed to take to safeguard my benefits. Matt relies heavily on paralegals to do his work. So you get the pleasure of paying multiple wages for a response or an action to be taken. Paralegals will also mishandle your private information by mistakenly emailing them to random clients. I received documents from two paralegals that contained working documents for other clients. Paralegals are not the only ones that make mistakes in mishandling documents. Matt also mishandles paperwork which delayed my divorce by another two months, but they were kind enough not to charge me for that particular court appearance; WOW! So be warned, their level of quality control and customer relations is not on par with their cost!

After several consultations at other law firms, it was Lisa Ward with Mckinley Irvin who gave me hope. I had been told several times that my hands were tied and it wouldn’t be worth going to court. Lisa listened to me and gave me my best options. She was always upfront, patient, and gave it her all. She impressed me with her knowledge on case law that pertained to my case and her ability to litigate in court on my behalf. I can’t say enough about Lisa and her team with Mckinley Irvin.

Lisa took over my case after my initial attorney left the firm to become a DA. Lisa then learned my case, returned my my emails and call promptly, and negotiated fairly according the law. I am overly ecstatic about the work performed by Teresa and her team at McKinleyIrvin. She understood the law and applied the law. She was most fair, and she cut through the clutter to give her honest appraisal, regardless of what I "hoped" to hear. I engaged Teresa with only seven weeks prior to final court trial. Against all odds [opinion from attorneys in the family law profession], with a compressed time frame for preparation, along with her tenacity leading up to and at trial, Teresa was able to navigate and ultimately negotiate a settlement that allowed both parties the dignity of achieving an amicable long-term parenting relationship. Her fees may be on the high side, comparatively; however, she was conscious of both her time and mine while on the phone and in meetings. Having said that, while in the throes of court trial I thought to myself, "Whether the court rules in "my favor" or not, Teresa is worth every penny spent...and more."
