Scott Edwards represented me against my insurance company after being in a car on bike accident. I suffered substantial injuries that my insurance company grossly minimized. What they initially offered to settle would not have covered my expenses. Scott substantiated my claim and convinced my insurance company to cover my losses. I particularly appreciate Scott's help in my efforts to honestly and openly build my case and in being thorough and thoughtful. Because of his great work my insurance company settled before arbitration. Thanks Scott!! I was somewhat reluctant to retain a lawyer to battle with my insurance company but not anymore. I have a better understanding of how really difficult it is to take on even a good insurance company on your own. I am glad i didn't and certainly wouldn't if this happened again.

I very rarely post reviews, and have never posted one for an attorney before. But in this case, one is definitely warranted. I will preface my review by saying that I was a legal secretary for over a decade , so have some experience with dealing with attorneys. I was in an accident in Washington State in 2012, and quickly came to realize that I was going to need an attorney to represent me. I was fortunate enough to have been recommended to Scott Staples by my chiropractor. Due to injuries from a prior accident, my case was a relatively complicated one, but Scott handled it with aplomb, courtesy, respect, and always, always, treated me with kindness, compassion, and care. He and his staff went above and beyond anything any attorney or law firm has ever done in my knowledge, or my years of working for them. It was only through their diligence and hard work, their intelligence and knowledge of the law, that I was ultimately successful. If you have a need for an attorney, for any reason whatsoever, I would highly recommend them. Not only do they work hard, they are kind, fair, and, they are honest. That is something that is extremely hard to come by in an attorney. You cannot go wrong with this law firm.

Craig Schauermann and his firm are the best of the best in the business. My case was extremely complicated, and before Craig, I had worked with a total of 3 attorneys prior to his firm (more on that later)! Thankfully, Craig and his team of attorneys ended up rescuing me, and my case! My 3rd attorney felt he needed to utilize Craig's expertise in "under insured motorist case law" in order to win the case and get a fair settlement for me, and this is how we were introduced - I got lucky! After a few months, Craig ended up taking the lead on my entire case. Honestly, I had some reservations about this based on the prior bad experience I had with the two proceeding attorneys on my case, who (supposedly) were also highly rated attorneys - yet THEY ended up "quitting" after about 6 months, once they discovered what a legally and medically complex case it was! Unlike Craig, those other attorneys were unwilling to put in the time and research needed to handle my case, which showed me they cared much more about making a “quick buck” for the least amount of time vs getting justice for a client they legally agreed to take on. Soon after working with Craig, I learned I no longer needed to be concerned, as I was in excellent hands by a top notch AND caring attorney! He put me FIRST, and did "whatever it took" to do the right thing for me and my case. Craig also had one of his partners, Scott Staples join the “team” to take on the insurers. Craig and Scott worked long and hard on my case, and it did last several years (note: I had 2 neck surgeries during this time due to the accident, and there were some significant legal complexities still being sorted out about the accident due to the 3 cars involved, even though all agreed I was 100% not at fault since I was hit head on and then rear ended). I feel fortunate to have been able to work with such amazingly knowledgeable, talented, caring, and ethical attorneys - who would fight the case to the end no matter how long it took! They definitely could be “pit bulls” (which I witnessed on multiple occasions!), yet caring and empathetic with their clients such as myself. In summary, both Craig and Scott are extremely "justice" driven, and work extremely hard to do whatever it takes to make their clients happy. They are MASTERS of the law and their profession, and they thrive with very difficult cases (and seem to love the challenge actually). That’s in contrast to the other attorneys I dealt with who seemed to begin ducking for cover when they discovered how hard of case it really was. :( That was their mistake, as patience and exemplary professional skills from Craig and Scott, ended up yielding a very good and fair settlement. I have no regrets what so ever I went with the "Schauermann Thayer Jacobs Staples & Edwards" law firm, and my guess is others will feel the same if they give them a call for a consult.

Craig represented us in our MVA case over the past year, and it was recently resolved. The process was pretty easy and Craig and his staff were very helpful. We are very happy with the settlement we received, and would definitely use them again!

I don't often post reviews but I felt this warranted one! I was in an auto accident with my three young children and was referred by our chiropractor to Scott Staples for an Attorney to represent me and help settle the auto claim. I have never had a lawyer before and was uncertain whether it was necessary to have one and whether it would be worth it in the end. I did call a few other attorney's and just got a bad feeling when talking to them. When I contacted Scott immediately it was a different feeling altogether. I still wasn't entirely sure but let me tell you I was thankful over and over again that I did go this route. There were complications with the medical bills getting paid by my auto insurance and Scott's office was able to call and handle all the different things that would have meant alot of time on the phone for me and because they understood the process were able to work more effectively with both the insurance company and medical providers. This was a nightmare for me that I did not have to deal with on top of getting me and my three kids to appointments etc. It was a long process but at no point did I feel shuffled to the bottom Scott was on top of everything and was very responsive to all my questions or concerns. I can't say enough of what a wonderful experience it was I would highly recommend him to anyone reading this. Scott was a wonderful person to work with and has exceptional integrity. I also through other parties during the process received positive comments as to the firms credibility and good report which reaffirmed that I had made a good choice. I was in an Car Accident in 2012. I didn't think I would need to have lawyer represent me during my ordeal - I thought I could handle things on my own, boy was I WRONG! After giving it a go on my own, I didn't feel like I was on the right path, I never felt like I knew what all my options were - what I could or couldn't do and I was extremely frustrated and in a lot of pain. I felt like I was not being heard and realized that I definitely needed to have someone knowledgeable and experienced help navigate and guide me through this process. Thank God for Scott Staples - he was the ONLY one out of a handful of lawyers I'd called, that made me feel like my concerns were finally being heard, he gave me hope and made me feel at ease and made sure all of my concerns were addressed! He understood where I was coming from with my decisions and always made sure to give me all my options and when I made my final decision on things he was very respectful of that. Scott was well aware of my goals to get healed and back to my normal capacity and to move on from this accident in a positive manner and he helped me get there. After being involved in a motor vehicle accident, with 10 years of law enforcement experience, I found myself needing assistance in handling the insurance due to the severity of injury and potential to impact my employment ability. I found Scott Staples and we discussed the events involved, in addition to the injuries and surgeries that would be upcoming. Having never had the need for an injury attorney and having my own developed perceptions from my employment, I was hesitant. Scott was remarkable. He understood the concerns I had, the inner working of the insurance companies, and was able to put me at ease that he would take the lead. I found myself receiving many copies of letters being sent to others for records, insurance companies, the like. It was comforting to feel like I was always being kept in the loop and he had an interest in the outcome. I found that Scott was always easy to contact, always retuned my calls promptly, and and was always able to articulate how the law would play into options. He never once made a suggestion of backing off principles and always held the morally higher ground. Though the case lasted just over a year due to the many surgeries, I always knew the case was being taken care of. In the final negotiations, he made sure to brief me on available options and indictaed he would venture down any avenue I decided on. The final settlement was reasonable and fair, and then he took the opportunity to negotiate with the multiple medical contacts to reduce even their costs. The final paperwork was quick, accurate, and thorough. He has my highest regards as a person, and certainly changed my skepticism of an injury attorney. Top Rate!
