I was an out-of-state client of Thomas Hackett’s who chose the NW Legacy Law firm to represent me after I’d read in The Columbian online newspaper about their successfully getting justice for an elderly woman whose guardian had embezzled from her. I was also convinced by the fact that the firm consistently has won top ratings from the Vancouver–SW Washington Business Journal, Avvo Rating, and The Columbian’s Best of Clark County. The firm’s web site was also a positive indication of the high level of skill the firm has with computerized litigation support – an important factor to the effectiveness of the representation of an out-of-state client. I experienced the highest quality of care and legal expertise from Thomas Hackett. I was an out-of-state heir and the lawyer handling my parent’s complex estate had given me a short deadline (3 weeks) to approve a vague, overly-generalized Inventory and an opaque Declaration of Completion. Thomas Hackett and his excellent legal team went above and beyond to meet the time challenge well before the deadline. Thomas quickly analyzed and synthesized the large volume of background information and evidence I’d e-mailed to him. He made efficient use of our phone consultation time in which he clearly explained the significance of the Declaration of Completion and Inventory, and patiently walked me through the steps of the legal options available if I could not obtain satisfactory information from the executor of my parent’s estate. I wanted to avoid a court battle, therefore, Thomas Hackett gave me wise and effective counsel about how to avoid miscommunication with the executor. Thanks to Thomas Hackett’s knowledgeable, clear and compassionate counsel I succeeded to get the information I needed from the executor that made it possible for me to approve the Declaration of Completion in good conscience. I was involved in and extremely involved case with a former relative. I worked with mainly Jake Seegmuller. My former attorney did almost nothing for 6 months and charged me thousands of dollars before she just quit 2 and a half weeks before an important hearing. I found Thomas Hackett and Jake Seegmuller almost by accident. In only one month Jake and Thomas settled the matter to my complete satisfaction. Jake was easy to work with and gave me great advice that saved me a lot of money. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any matter of this type. He is highly Intelligent and does a great job at a minimal fee. As far as I am concerned he is a wonderful attorney, not just interested in collecting his fee but in caring that justice is done.

Thomas is great. We needed a will/trust in place for our three little ones before my wife Kelli and I went on our first trip together out of country since having kids. Thomas and his team were able to turn around everything amazingly fast and walked us through the entire process seamlessly. All the while making the process easy and kept us excited for our trip to Vietnam.

Thomas Hackett came highly recommended and I can certainly see why. I was afraid of the whole process of drawing up my will but everyone in his office was so helpful every step of the way.
