I have to say that Nick Wood was an outstanding attorney. This is the second time we hired him for a family law case and we would hire him for a third time no questions asked. He did an amazing job with both our cases. From the beginning he was there for any questions we had, ridiculous or not, he knew his facts and wasn't afraid to tell us if he needed to do research. In both cases he was honest with us and when we didnt have all the things we needed, he patiently waited for us to get it. He was informative and really kept me grounded when things got heated (in my case, NOT heated with him). He is all about facts, no b.s. and he was super easy to talk to. I am emotional when it comes to family and because he sticks to the facts, i stayed very level headed.

I hired Nick last year for my ugly separation case and I'm so lucky that I hired him because he changed the table and prepare my case in first hearing that judge awarded me the kids and after that he filed motions and communicate with other side of attorney and make his way . One thing I found about him that he is not giving you false hope and he will tell you on your face and some time he will hard but this is all good for my case. I rather Nick hardliner attorney then soft and sugar coating attorney . He have Good heart and he understood my suffering and stress going on , he also treat you as a human and understand his client feelings but he also explain the laws that cannot be attached to your feelings.He is a highly ethical and professional person. Choosing a professional -- doctor, dentist, attorney -- is hit-and-miss. You don't want to test-drive, you can only go on recommendations from family or friends. Then when you find one you can work with, one you can trust, you stick with them. Nick is that guy. I'm working through a divorce, and I depend on him for advice and action. Nick has long experience in Vancouver, he knows the local courts and the actors involved. My case has new wrinkles for him, but he pulls on his experience in family law for workable approaches. He willingly discusses possible issues and solutions, both for litigation and mediation. He doesn't go on his "best recollection" -- but always does the research to answer my queries. On the other hand, Nick makes it clear what tasks I need to do in order to streamline the legal process and increase chances for success. He's busy, but I've found he's always accessible within a day or two, and he responds within a day to my questions. All of these things put together, I'm confident I have the best advocate on my team. I'll most definitely team up with Nick again for legal help.
