I have used the services of Schuck Law, more specifically Leslie Baze, and the experience was amazing both times! I retrieved all unpaid wages that I was due. More importantly, at least in my view, Leslie is not a “stereotypical lawyer”, like the kind in a John Gresham novel…she truly cares for her clients and works tirelessly for her clients. True story - Leslie was working in my case during one weekend and called me on a Sunday with some inquiries. It freaked me out for a few moments because hearing from her made me think it was Monday and I was late for work. I appreciated her skills and tenacity very much.

I was concerned about what kind of lawyer I would encounter and very nervous about not being able to speak lawyer language that in the end the suit would end up costing me more than I expected! THAT IS NOT THE CASE with Karen Moore at Schuck Law! She explained everything to me in great detail in a language that I could understand. She was very forthright about what my options were and allowed me to take my time to decide! I never felt pressure to make a decision and she was very willing to make sure that I felt comfortable in my decision. I cannot say enough amazing things about Karen Moore. She kept me in the loop as to the status of my case! She is very easy to talk to and gets the job done! Best of all it did not cost me a penny! I worked as an analyst for a call center for what amounted to roughly 2.5 weeks. After the 2.5 week training session concluded, I elected to seek other opportunities and left my employer on good terms. I had filled out my timesheet each week. My employment was as a contractor, separate from the company I was working for actually. After 2+ weeks of not being paid at all (over a month delay total), I reached out to Schuck Law after searching the internet for a solution. According to Karen, who cited Oregon State Law, I should have been expecting my final paycheck to be deposited/delivered to me within 24 hours of my ending employment. After talking to Karen, I made the formal decision to hire Schuck Law, and specifically have Karen represent my case Karen and her staff worked with me diligently, patiently, and eventually was able to resolve my situation in my favor. It took a goodly bit, over 3 months to resolve, but I thanks to the clear expectations set forth to me by Karen, I expected this. In the end my pay was addressed, albeit 4+ months late. I was most impressed with was their candor about how to handle this, what to expect, and how things would eventually play out. Karen made it clear that this whole endeavor was a process, and that the process needed to play out accordingly. My former contracting agency at first balked regarding any penalty wages, let alone paying me what I had worked (and forget the legal fees for Schuck Law LLC), but when all was finished, both Shuck Law and myself were paid as expected, including penalty wages. In over 25 years of working I have never had a situation like this, but I am grateful that my first time allowed me to find a great solution to addressing my needs. I consider myself quite fortunate to have found an honest, diligent, and reputable law firm to represent my needs. I have had little reason to involve an attorney in my life, but the one time I did, I found someone I would easily recommend to others. Karen and her staff was excellent, and treated my situation with respect and understanding. I am sure there are attorney's out there that are worse, but I seriously doubt there are others that are better. If you have a wage claim issue, and you feel your employer or former employer has violated state or federal laws in Oregon (or Washington), please do not hesitate to call them. I sincerely hope I never have to go thru something like this again, but if I do, I know who I would call if need be..

I had the pleasure of getting in touch with Schuck Law this morning. Not only did they take the time to hear my problem even though it didn’t pertain to them, but they directed me to the area of law that I needed. If I ever have a wage loss I will hands down be using this firm. They are for the people!

Initially I spoke w/ David concerning my case, and he was very attentive and helpful, and responsive in his questions, and advice regarding my particular case. Once things began to ramp up more I was assigned to Karen, who was also very detailed, responsive and extremely helpful in quickly preparing everything needed, and explaining things in 'non-lawyer language' so that I could easily understand what was going on. She kept me frequently updated on what was going on with my case, and was able to bring a swift conclusion to my case allowing me to close a chapter of my life, and move on. Highly recommend Schuck Law, David, and Karen as they are both PHENOMENAL! :)

I have not had a lot of experience with lawyers, but I have to say this was handled quickly and professionally. I got everything I asked for. From beginning to end, throughout this whole experience I was given nothing but helpful, friendly, amazing service. I had an issue with a former employer who blatantly ignored my requests for a missing paycheck, and Leslie Baze helped me get back what was missing, plus late fees, and it didn’t cost me a dime. They’re all about trying to not have you pay them, how they see it is the bad employer should pay for it because if it wasn’t for them, you wouldn’t be here in the first place. That brought me a lot of relief honestly because I know some lawyers can be expensive. Another thing I really loved about this is Leslie broke down and explained everything that was going on in full detail to a way I could understand. I highly recommend Schuck Law for anyone having missing payment issues, I’m so happy and relic after working with them.
