Great place and a excellent representation to any legal problem you might have. I went to them in distress I gave them a few months and everything got dismissed. They are very professional and they will try all the doors as possible to get a dismissal before your court date. They will work with your income and work Stile They are cool Gran lugar y una excelente representación para cualquier problema legal que pueda tener.

If it was possible to give Brian Walker more than 5 stars we would do so in a heartbeat. When looking for an attorney back in 2020, I had called more than 5 attorneys and each one saw our case as a money case. They wanted money before even going out and speaking to my significant other which was an important thing to us. When I had found out about Brian I called right away and his assistant patched me through to speak to Brian. Brian talked to me over the phone for over an hour talking about my significant others case and what he could see and understand just by glancing at it. The very next day he spoke to my significant other and got down to business. Brian called me right after letting me know how much the total would be to take on his case, I mentioned to him that I was doing this all on my own. He offered me an amount of retainer and the rest to be paid off in payments. When I had the retainer amount ready Brian was actually on a trip but took my significant others file with him just in case something came up & it surely did. That same week Brian came back and appeared in court as my significant others attorney. Brian has worked hard these last 4.5 years on our case. Despite our trial date being pushed out over and over again Brian had us ready either way. He was always ready to answer our questions no matter how big or small the question was. He’s a very sympathetic person when speaking to him outside a court room, but the moment he’s in the court room representing his client he is quick to dismiss any accusation and stand behind his client no matter their race, charges, or attitude. After 4.5 long years Brian has now given us our freedom from all of this. My significant other was told he was facing many years in prison & Brian got us out of this problem. My significant other is now my husband and father to our two beautiful girls & none of this would’ve happened if we didn’t have Brian fighting in our corner to reduce his bail & give us the opportunity to continue living our lives as normal as we could while the case was being worked on and Now that it’s all over we couldn’t be more grateful! As much as we are thankful for Brian we are also thankful for his legal team. His assistant have always been so kind, thoughtful, and very cooperative with us. There was never a moment we felt like we were being dismissed by them, we always felt heard when expressing our questions and concerns. They see their clients more as just clients, but as a family. Many times when we would call they would ask about our family and how things were going in the pregnancy and our toddlers life. With that being said, if you’re looking for someone to fight for you or your family member with such a passion and dedication Brian Walker Law Firm PC is the way to go! Be mindful Brian is a very busy attorney and can be a little hard to get to, but when he gets to you his mindset and priority are you in that moment. Brian Walker will never see your case as a money winning case, but as a person needing help to prove their innocence in a system that can seem hard and unfair at times. Words can not begin to express how thankful we are to have had Brian as our attorney, without his help none of this would’ve been possible.

Brian Walker and Brian Hunter are hands down the best attorneys that I could have been blessed with. The amount of research and dedication they paid to my complicated situation where endless. Thanks to these two amazing attorneys, I have regained control of my life after a sad and desperate situation was thrust upon both myself and my children. If it wasn’t for the support of my family and both of these attorneys I would not have been able to rebuild my life as quickly and successfully as I have. I would give them both 10 stars if it were an option. Thank you both for your tireless efforts, knowledge and professionalism while bringing justice to my life. I am forever grateful.

I consulted Mr. Dunkerly asking him to review an existing case. After an initial visit, then with his assistance, he then revealed important additional information in regards to the existing case. Very helpful, definitely would recommend his services, and/or opinion in any future matters.

I've never met an attorney quite like Edward l. Dunkerly. Not only is Ed profoundly unique as a human being but also in his depth of knowledge in not just one, but in several fields of law. When you couple that with the vast amount of experience Ed has in private practice as well as courtroom experience. ..... well, I can't think another attorney I'd rather have represent me in whatever my legal needs at the time..

Kurt has been very helpful in guiding my Company in the filing, upgrading, expansion and litigation of our intellectual property. Kurt is both enthusiatic about what he does and very knowledgeable about what he does. He is very protective of his clients' IP and I would have no hesitation in recommending Kurt to cleints looking for a good Patent Counsel.

James Howsley and I worked on a joint Land Use project near Ridgefield, Washington.several years ago. He was very competent and professional in his approach and as a result both of our clients prevailed in getting their land accepted by the City of Ridgefield even thou their land was on the other side of the I-5 freeway from the City of Ridgefield.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Vancouver, Washington?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
