Cinda represented me in my divorce which went ok and I feel she did a good job. However, when I needed her to help me renegotiate visitation for my pre-teen girls, I left court feeling like she did nothing and rather than less control over the girls, he got more. How does that happen?? The next time I represented myself and did better.

If you are looking for someone who is going to fight for you - I highly recommend Stephanie. She is not warm and fuzzy - so if youre looking for that go get a teddy bear but if you want someone who smells blood in the water and is not afraid to grab a bite out of someone's @$$ - then she is the attorney for you. I got my baby boy back from his trifling father - so yes I recommend her.

Cinda has represented my husband on numerous occasions in family court. She came highly recommended, and she fulfilled our every request. Although pricey, you really do get what you pay for. She was thorough, precise, and reliable. She was very much so familiar with our case at all points over the past 2 years. Her office staff always had our questions answered in a timely manner. We received copies of all correspondence in a timely manner. Cinda is very direct, to the point, factual, and cuts out all the unnecessary filler papers and statements that other attorneys like to use. She does not sugar coat or coddle. She listens to what you’re actually asking for and sees that she makes it happen. Cinda is brutally honest and will call it like she sees it. We could not be more pleased with her services.

Ms. Cinda Scales is fierce and fair. She has built a solid reputation over her many years in this field. She is not a counselor or a life coach, she listens, assesses, and then gives the good - the bad - and the ugly in regards to legal advice. It may be hard to digest initially, but do you want your lawyer advising you of such so you may process it and then develop another game plan, are prepared, or by the judge - who then issues a decision? The most difficult part of any legal matter is feeling so passionate in our convictions, our positions, and typically about our most beloved -- we naturally are going to feel most right, even in our most objective mindset. It is challenging and uncomfortable to make compromises on issues we don't want to, having to sacrifice some items that we feel like we shouldn't - but the truth is, it is statistically improbable to get everything someone wants in scenarios such as these. It is negligent for a lawyer to be a "yes man", they owe it to you and I to prepare us of the opposition. At the end of the day, you have to make an investment in someone you feel comfortable with that when push comes to shove, you trust their experience, you trust their judgment, and you trust their ethics. This woman is sensible, smart, respected, no nonsense, experienced, and hard working - not to mention most trusted by the late and great Ms. Gaither. Highly recommended!

You have to give at least 1 star for the review to count but if I could, I would not give Cinda Scales any stars. She came extremely highly recommended but other than pushing a lot of paper which I am pretty sure WAS NOT prepared by her but I was billed at her fee, she really did nothing for me in my divorce. I have noticed a common complaint from other reviews in that she did not even recognize me at the courthouse for the first hearing in my divorce case. That should have been my first clue that this was not going to go well. Second clue was when she kept asking ME for information I had provided to her on numerous occasions - very disorganized. Worst thing though was after I had signed my Pre-Trial Memorandum, had it notarized and submitted, she something in it WITHOUT my knowledge and used the original signature page and submitted it to the court - AGAIN, without my knowledge and then she had the audacity to bill me for it. At the final hearing she basically questioned why I was would reject a settlement offer over "not important stuff" related to the property distribution and I felt like I was basically badgered into accepting whatever she, the judge and the opposing attorney had come up with as a settlement. I NEVER received monthly statements until the conclusion of my case and I had to call four times to receive anything and again, I had requested the statements be emailed to me but of course they were mailed because let's bill a few more $$'s. I don't think I could have done any worse using one of those online do-it-yourself divorces. Do your homework before hiring this law firm!!
