You should only hire the Fitzgerald Law Firm if you don't care about your money, or winning your case.

Stay away from this law firm. You would be better off with a public defender.. which says a lot. My sister contracted with them, and they are very disorganized and unethical. They never filed motions in a timely manner like they were requested to, they missed court appearances, they showed up an hour and a half late the one time they did show up, they did not know about court appearances without our mother calling them to tell them of it, and then they had the audacity to charge for the phone call where she informed them of something they were supposed to know but did not. She also contracted with and was being represented by Lane but some new attorney she had never met and who was just hired by the firm showed up to represent her without knowing anything about the case. After my sister fired them for ineffective council, they kept the entire retainer and sent her a bill for even more money. Read the fine print on your contract, they will charge you for every type of contact with them like a corporate attorney and eat up a $2,000 retainer without ever putting in any real work. Your retainer will go entirely towards travel time and phone conversations with the secretary.

Update 4-5-18, It's clear that there were several problems with my case, but as you can see with the way this company responds, they are clearly not willing to own up to any faults and are not open to resolving client concerns. I just want prospective clients to be careful before engaging with this business. If the company would like me to walk them through the detailed issues they caused in order to understand how to improve their business, they can feel free to contact me. ————— I had a terrible experience with this law firm. I reached out to this firm to settle a land contract dispute with someone who was not paying their mortgage. Sadly, due to a lack of knowledge, my attorney prepared a case which was not within my legal rights under Wisconsin law. To make matter worse, the law office lacked basic communication, which caused the matter to drag out for months. To name a few issues, they did not contact me when the retainer ran out, nor did they contact me when they needed a court filing fee. Instead, they would stop working on the case until I reached out to them inquiring about progress. After paying to take the case to court, it was immediately thrown out by the judge. In the end I was left without resolution in the case and a request for a much larger retainer to continue legal representation. After being out $1500 in representation costs, fees, a flight and hotel, and months without pay from the land contract, I cannot recommend this law firm.

Called and asked for a call back from the lawyer 4 times and he never did. Do not use this law firm!

Joke of a law firm. Beware of Lane Fitzgerald. This firm is not experienced enough to handle complex drivers license cases.

I wouldn’t recommend this law firm to anyone. I was told several time that I would receive a phone call, and never did. I decided to call back and was told by secretary in a rude way that they are busy and go find another attorney. I tried explaining to her that I called several times and was informed that I would receive a call back but never did. She said again go find another attorney. Wow I was in disbelief that a person working in a professional atmosphere could be so rude. She was not understanding at all. Don’t waste your time with this law firm.

I highly recommend this law firm. I have requested their services twice, and each time got great results.

I paid the fees for getting my record expunged (trying to get into nursing school and a 9 year old charge is holding me back from getting in) in May. I was told that fitzgerald had to "find out" if my charge could even get expunged and then if it could, i would pay more money and he would get it dropped. It is december 22 and i still have yet to hear if my charge is even allowed to be expunged. I have called multiple, multiple, multiple times just to hear "we will have fitzgerald call you back". Most of the time i just never got a return call or when i did it was the secretary telling me the attorney didnt know anything yet. Im supposed to apply to nursing school again by valentines day and my record is still not taken care of. An attorney that takes your money and doesnt give any results in 7 months. Pathetic. Already contacted the bar association and filed compaints with his office. No results even after all that!

I wouldn't recommend this law firm to anyone. He practically guaranteed me I would win in the beginning but took my money and didn't do anything to help my case. I fired this firm shortly after my first court appearance and it took 6 months to see an invoice only to find that they charged me for work on my case after the date of my terminating their service. There for eating up the entire retainer. They are nothing short of a legal thief. Again BE AWARE. I ONLY GAVE THIS FIRM 1 STAR BUT IT DOESN'T DESERVE ANY STARTS.

I called this law firm to handle my citation and license issues. Tina and another gal on different days advised me they will call me back that afternoon after speaking with the attorney. Never happened. Even then I called back 2 days later to give this firm another chance and setup a 15 minute consultation. Well once again, no calls were received at the appointment time. Not recommended.
