I was pleased working with Atty Karyn Youso and First Look Family Law. I was overwhelmed with meeting all the required information and documents. But Karyn and her super Paralegal Tania used their experience all along the way to help keep me on track gathering all this data without wasting undue time. Each step of the way they were thorough, organized and prepared. They didn't waste time and money pursuing things that were highly unlikely to be successful, nor take adversarial approach that may have escalated the situation, and would result in expensive court hearings. Instead worked constructively back and forth with the other party's attorney to negotiate a common sense settlement acceptable to both, with the least amount of legal proceedings that would have greatly escalated the cost. All the while keeping everything out of the court until the final proceedings, so that when we arrived in court it was all settled with no need to spend large sums of money for repeat court appearances. They took time to patiently explain legal and financial complexities. Hourly charges were accurately recorded for the actual work done, fair to them for their actual labor hours spent, fair to me for not wasting expensive time on unnecessary tasks. The paralegal staff, in particular Tania, was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Beyond just providing professional legal services, Karyn and Tania seemed to take a genuine interest in my welfare, and to provide encouragement and support during stressful and difficult times in the process.

I hired Karyn to help me get the child support and maintenance I was paying my ex reduced after he received a significant inheritance. She is very bright, represented me well, and was always very prepared for each step in the process. I appreciated her honesty and support during a difficult fight, and I was very pleased with the results!

Karyn if thorough and not afraid to fight for you. She really makes you feel like she has you and your family's best interest as her priority. Office staff (Tania) is very personable and easy to connect with also. Highly recommend!
