The Secretary hung up on me. I called back because I wasn't done telling her the message and she said the judge is calling and hung up on me again. So I kept calling back because my husband is in jail and they won't answer his calls or go see him when Robert said he would. He has court at 8am tomorrow and my husband still hasn't heard from his hired attorney that we are paying for. She would answer than put me on mute like that's cute and professional. I am now calling the bars association on this so called Law firm. This place is very very unprofessional and would highly NOT recommended this law firm.

I have been in the system for about 25 years and have had numerous attorneys represent me. Some were decent enough, some were completely incompetent, judgmental, arrogant, full of themselves, but all of the defenders whom i've worked with in the past, in my opinion were all quite lazy. Robert Thorson is the third attorney that has been assigned to my most recent case. i have been fighting for my freedom for nearly 2 years finally I have an attorney that will fight for me. Instead of trying to convince me to settle or accept the pleas that the bias DAs have been offering he simply asks me what i want and what i think would be a fair agreement. When i first met Robert he greeted me with his card and a confident handshake. He stated he would be my attorney from here on and if I ever came in contact with the law I was to say nothing and contact him right away. He has always been very upfront, and to the point with me.I Don't feel like i'm being judged or stereotyped while in his presence. I trust Robert Thorson and believe he will go above and beyond to see that i am satisfied with the outcome of my case

His receptionist is very RUDE and hangs up in your face. I was honestly appalled at the way she speaks until I read other reviews and see this is an average occurrence for his clients! These are lives she is playing with. I cant even blame Robert. She makes things very difficult and probably doesnt pass messages along. Please get a new assistant Robert! Its sad to be treated this way when things are already stressful. No excuses for her behavior! What type of adult acts like that in a professional setting! Quite disgusting!!

If I could vote 0 stars, then I would. Robert Allen Thorson is the most incompetent, lazy attorney I have ever come across. His secretary is rude and when she actually answers the phone, she just hangs up on you. In a matter of 6 months the only thing he had to offer me was the same criminal complaint that I received the day I was arrested. How this man has his own office let alone his state bar license is beyond me. 🗑

In search of an attorney to represent us in WI (as we reside in AZ) we contacted Thorson via telephone. Without our knowledge, he accepted us as clients knowing that his wife worked with the opposing party and that they attend dinner parties together with not only the opposing side but the Guardian Ad Litem in the case as well. After receiving funds he stopped answering the phone or responding to emails. We met with Thorson the day before the hearing and he had NOT prepared for the case. Thorson did not inform us of expert testimony provided by the opposing party, or provide expert testimony on our behalf, he did not ask that the GAL recuse herself because of her personal ties to the opposing party, and he refused to present damaging evidence of deceit and manipulation, sexual and psychological abuse, drug abuse and addiction, rehab never completed, drug testing, request an interstate compact to prove the father to be fit, place the fathers civil rights above the opposing party who is the maternal grandmother, Thorsons friend and Thosons's wife's coworker, investigate and determine the plethora of false statements made by the opposing party, depose the opposing party or expose the ongoing relationship involving a twice registered sex against the opposing party. When questioned by the Office of Lawyer Regulations Thorson claimed he didn't present any of the evidence mentioned above because he was afraid it would anger the judge, not because he was biased from his relationship with the opposing side! He wanted to be the bigger person in the room and not point fingers. That's what we needed to do to prove the opposing side was unfit and untruthful. Being aware of the GAL and judge's bias he should have done what was necessary to have our case moved to another court in order to guarantee us due process. We have suffered tremendous financial losses but most importantly the loss of our precious granddaughter. Even thou prior to the hearing we had a 10 year relationship with our granddaughter, due to Thorson not getting even one measure in place at this hearing, we have been cut off entirely from our granddaughter for the past 5 years. We not only didn't gain anything from Thorson representing us, he caused us to lose what we had. Not even in complete desperation would I recommend Thorson.

He has been a lawyer to many of my cases. He is very professional and someone I can really trust. He is the kind of man who will tell you how it is and not beat around the bush. Well respected!
