Do not waste your money. They convince you to pay a set amount and not bill hourly so you have unlimited access to your attorney. You don’t. They don’t communicate important meetings they have regarding your case. They don’t respond for weeks at a time about important information. Then they want another chunk of money for stage 2 when they did nothing to help your case in stage 1. Absolutely horrific experience and all they care about is money.

Over priced; over promised; way way way underdelivered. You leave the meetings with their attorneys happy as heck with a plan and then nothing happens and the only emails you receive from them are either asking for money if you haven’t paid yet; more bad news; them asking for things that will help the opposing party. Attorneys are nice and seem to know what they’re doing but must be completely over worked or not getting approval to do certain things because it will potentially cut into the profit. Feel like I would’ve been better off without them, but when ya pay in advance you’re just still I and helpless. Trying for a refund isn’t worth the headache and they know that. I’m a guy trying to protect a little bit of money and trying to get my kids 50/50. What is important to me would’ve been getting guidance from the counsel on dealing with a GAL or what I could do about my wife’s malicious weaponizing of everything. Could’ve should’ve would’ve, right. If you’re a man go hourly or seek a firm that specializes in father’s rights.

My lawyer, Michelle, made all sorts of claims when I first hired her to help me through my divorce. She said most divorces are only going to use the first stage. Clients pay in stages, four months then up to a year, then a third stage if it goes to trial. I am divorcing after 22 years together. There is a huge income discrepancy due to me being a stay at home mom 15 years. We have kids and a house. This isn't that difficult of a case. I just want my legal half. Four months in and after little to no communication, I find out we are going to trial. A month after I moved out with my boys. A month into getting zero child support or alimony despite the kids being with me 75%+ of the time. He's still living in our house with his expensive sports car while I am on the verge of losing the only apartment I could find that would fit the kids and I. I can't even feed my kids without going to the food pantries. This is not how I was told it was going to go. Michelle told me she would get me financial help to get me through until the divorce was finalized and I got half of everything. So far that amounted to a one time payment of $500. I can't keep feeding, clothing and sheltering my kids on that. I'm about to lose everything and my lawyer has done NOTHING. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM if you have kids and need to escape a spouse. They will not help you. They will charge you $7500 for the first four months, completely screw you over, then say "Oopsie! Looks like a trial! Here, sign over $9000+ of what you would be getting from this 50/50 divorce and we will do our worst to represent your best interests!" It's a 50/50 state, y'all. This should be one of the easiest states to practice in for divorce. And they still can't do the bare minimum to get a single mom what she needs to start over.
