I don't know much about the entire firm, but stay away from hiring Andrea Winder and Paisley Hoffman. I hired Andrea and Paisley to assist me with my divorce. To give some context, my divorce lasted almost two years, I originally hired a different attorney who I did like and appreciate but because things were not going my way I hired Andrea and Paisley halfway through my divorce to get a second opinion. So to be fair to them, they were not with me since the beginning, however immediately after hiring them I regretted this decision. They didn't seem interested in gathering the information from the first half of my divorce, and even when I sent them information I felt was very important, it appeared to be just tossed to the side leaving me feeling very unprepared for my divorce. There were so many issues that I had with these two as my lawyers but to help with the review let me break it down to 3 big issues (although there were so many more issues). 1. When briefing for my trial I was informed there was a big risk of being charged with pretty serious crimes if I went to trial (essentially pushing me to stop perusing trial) based on some concerns in my past. These concerns were over 6 years ago, and I had already addressed them with multiple professionals. I gave Andrea and Paisley all of the details and they told me it didn't matter how long ago these things happened I could still be charged. After doing my own research I found out that based on Wisconsin law I was not able to be charged with the issues they were bring up based on the length of time that had been passed. Instead of admitting their mistake they denied that I gave them the correct details in the first place. 2. During my divorce Holiday plans were a big contention point between my ex and myself. My ex and I were able to come up with a reasonable agreement for Holiday plans. I gave Andrea and Paisley all of the details for Holiday Plans that my ex and I came up with and already agreed to. When the final Holiday plan was proposed to me and my ex it was nothing like had already agreed to. I asked if my lawyers could reach out to my ex to ask if she understood the changes to the plan and if she was changing her mind. Andrea informed me that she spoke with my ex and said this was the plan and I had to take it or go to trial over it. I emailed my ex separately and found out that my ex was not aware of these new changes wanted to go back to our original agreed upon plan. Andrea responded by being angry with me that I reached out to my ex because now we had to continue to negotiate. 3. After two years of battling between lawyers and plans my ex and I finally got to a point where almost everything was finalized and we had to go to trial for a few financial matters. Andrea and Paisley did not meet with me prior to the trial as I requested to prepare. The evening before my trial Andrea and Paisley sent me a financial disclosure statement without any explanation of what it would be used for and how to fill it out. I did my best to fill it out and sent it to them as soon as I could. The next morning prior to the trail I met with Paisley and asked about the financial statement I filled out. She informed me that basically this form was just routine court paperwork and it was okay that we didn't go through it thoroughly. She also gave me the financial statement my ex filled out to go over. I did not have time to really go through what my ex filled out since we had court in just a few minutes and again Paisley reassured me that the documents were not that important. During the trial the judge and my ex's lawyers used these two documents to talk about the percentages of costs. Since my document was not filled out correctly and I didn't get a chance to dispute my ex's form the judge made a decision that negatively impacted me. All because Paisley didn't care to give me the time to go over very important forms and said that these forms were not important. These two only cared about pushing the divorce to the end, not helping me get what was best for my children.

I hired Nicholas Goetz & Otis for a divorce case. They were the absolute best. My divorce ended up unfortunately being more contentious than expected but my attorneys, Andrea Winder and Paisley Hoffman, did a phenomenal job handling everything for me and ensuring everything worked out. It ended up being a smooth and stress-free process. They made a very difficult and emotional time of my life much easier. I cannot thank them enough.

I am an African American that was facing a very serious charge, I was extremely terrified of going to jail due to the possibility of losing my daughter to foster care. Very honest and reliable, which is particularly notable given the reputation attorneys have in general. The communication was always clear, straight-forward, and proactive. When I needed something explained, they were able to do so and I never had to prod for information. Given that it wasn't exactly a choice to use an attorney's office, I feel extraordinarily fortunate to have been represented by Nate and Jessa.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Every phone call and her nasally husband will charge you another $5000, Jessa will show up to court in flip-flops and cause more damage than good. She originally represented Kyle Rittenhouse and her lawyer, after the case was won, said that the turning point in the case was "getting rid of the original representation." Couldn't agree more, same for me! James was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. Basically think of the guy at the front door of the castle of the Wizard of Oz, or the French guy on the roof in the castle scene of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Snotty, rude, callous, and will charge you a FORTUNE. What a LOSER! On the surface, the team seems competent, but be warned. They will bungle your case and leave you penniless. This office cost me $10,000 and left me worse off than when I began!! The best decision I made was changing lawyers halfway through the case! This may sound harsh but I'd rather them get a dose of my opinion than you make the same mistake I did! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! I'D GIVE A NEGATIVE 20 STAR REVIEW IF I COULD! Edit: They claim they never represented me but they did. I am just not gonna put my real name for a dirty lawyer to run with. How else would I be able to provide all these details? Further, what I am saying is corroborated (nice lawyer speak eh?) with several other reviews. Enjoy this poor review like you represented me so poorly, hopefully it costs you a couple clients! Reap as you sow!

I talked to a James first and he made me so convinced he was a great lawyer so I sent them 10,000 to represent me....a week after paying I got a call from an Andrea who said she's on my case and she was extremely unprofessional and rude and gave me the opposite information that James had previously gave me. When I asked her nicely to ask James what he told me she said she's refunding my money, but not all of it. This place is a complete scam and when people are already going through a tough time these people will help to make it worse. Please avoid this office if you want someone who cares. This place only cares about money, not people Edit to reply to his reply......thank you for giving me that heartless Andrea lady misleading me because I was able to find a GREAT Lawyer. I keep saying that was nothing but God. And yes, you guys did end up giving me a full refund even though Andrea kept saying it wasn't going to be a full refund. I have the whole call recorded if anyone needs to hear before hiring this company.
