It's a major challenge to find an attorney effective in facing the Department of Corrections. Many of us get caught up in the recidivism plagued probation and extended supervision portion of Wisconsin's bi-furcated sentencing ("the system"). Attorney Payal Khandhar took my case with incredible diligence and assertiveness. As an "Offender" on probation facing revocation by the Department of Corrections, my probation officer was determined to SEND ME TO PRISON because I was honest about my drug addiction. A prison term that would NOT have provided any form of drug treatment. Attorney Khandhar's knowledge of law is impeccable -and- in my opinion unmatched. (Not to mention the strength of her name recognition in the Dane County Courts.) I've been stuck in "the system" for 8 years and have never witnessed an attorney so detail oriented and dedicated to the client. The reasonable retainer to represent me for this complex situation truly humbled me as she constantly provided updates regarding what was going on during the process.
