Our case wasn't in the scope of what their law firm deals with, but she was knowledgeable in getting us to someone that could help with our case.

In late 2019 my wife entered an assisted living facility due to dementia. I was paying the entire fee for this service and it was very expensive. My financial advisor suggested I should engage with a lawyer to protect our assets. He knew of two local lawyers that he thought could be helpful. The first lawyer I interviewed wanted to use an extremely complicated and cumbersome process. I was not comfortable with that process. So I sought a second opinion from Dan Krause. Dan outlined a process that he has had extensive experience with wherein our assets would be protected. I worked with Dan for over a year to complete this process. This process involved a thorough documentation of our finances and, eventually, the purchase of annuities. Dan worked with government officials in Wisconsin to assure that my spouse became eligible for Medicaid. Dan had to go thru multiple iterations of interaction with those government officials, submitting over 500 pages of documentation of our finances and also documentation of the annuity purchases. Dan showed great persistence and patience throughout this process. Although I had to pay Dan a quite substantial fee for this work, it will prove to be cost efficient in the long run. In less than 6 months I will save all of the fee I paid Dan in the saving from having my spouse be on Medicaid. I strongly recommend Dan Krause.
