I felt confident in Paul Stenzel guiding us through the collaborative divorce process. I enjoyed working with him and appreciated the care and attention he gave to us to make sure everything was as seamless as possible. It also made being overseas less stressful since we were able to complete everything virtually.

I highly recommend Hansen & Hildebrand, specifically Sue Hansen as a mediator. From the initial meeting explaining the mediation process to the final email confirming the decree was signed, Sue and the staff were thoughtful, patient, thorough, and impartial. We had the ability to make decisions regarding the focus of our agreement and how we wanted to prioritize what was important to us. Sue also referred us to a colleague to support crafting our family plan. The process was seamless and did not feel impersonal even though it was all conducted via Zoom. The pricing was upfront, the electronic tools were easy to use, documentation was always available to us throughout the process, and the entire staff was responsive to our questions. Overall, what could have been a very distressing experience was collaborative and amicable in large part due to Sue's calming demeanor and guidance.

When you hire a lawyer, you are also hiring a mentor, a colleague, and an additional face that is supposed to represent you in a court of law among other distinguished professionals. When making this choice, I wouldn’t imagine having chosen any other firm to represent me. I have worked with Hansen & Hildebrand twice now while working through a rough divorce initially, and an emotionally draining dispute between my ex-spouse and I and there is a reason why I chose to come back, and will continue to come back to if (and hopefully not when) something else comes up. I first worked with Greg Hildebrand who, along with his colleagues, are well known for their work and representation in the law community. In the words of our court appointed mediator who asked me who my representation was, he muttered, “Oh wow, he’s really good”. A good lawyer is going to be busy, because his reputation has preceded him/her, but I had no problem scheduling calls within a reasonable time frame and always received timely responses. The second lawyer I hired was Lindsey Kujawa for the recent (2020) dispute with my ex-spouse who has equal respect in the law community, and she did not disappoint on any front either. She was equally responsive, personable, and when making decisions on your behalf she presented multiple options and explained the potential outcomes. During her work, the pandemic hit and Lindsey quickly, if not seamlessly adapted to the changing climate of the law. She was always thinking one step ahead when it came to the stipulations/agreements and fought to obtain for me what was reasonable and right based on facts and knowledge of the law itself. I never had any fears that Lindsey wouldn’t work above and beyond to get my desired outcome, and when she delivered I was not surprised. Her professional attitude and work ethic far outweighed other attorneys who attempt to use intimidation and other cheap tactics to get what they want in court. She also displayed a knowledge of the judges she has worked with and how they typically operate, which can be viewed as valuable intel in situations like this. There are a multitude of other things that she likely did behind the scenes when working on my paperwork that I was not present to see, but am sure she performed equally in my best interest as she did on the things I was present for.
