Michael Edwards is an efficient, approachable, and dedicated attorney. He was the first lawyer we talked to after multiple referrals willing to look at our court records and help us figure out where to go from there. When paying the retainer fee, he went out of his way to take down our payment method for our convenience even though that doesn't fall under his job duties. While waiting for the court to give him access to our documents, Michael had already began drafting a motion in advance in anticipation of our situation resulting in going to court. However, after gaining access to the pertinent records we were pleasantly surprised to hear that our situation is much simpler than we all thought it would be. He double checked with another attorney at the firm and confirmed that we would not have to file a motion, however it was very comforting to know that Michael was diligently preparing in the event that this was not the case. Additionally, he let us know that we may receive some of the retainer fee back due to our issue being resolved so quickly -- another pleasant surprise. Michael graciously answered our many questions and also took time to help us figure out our options moving forward, as the case he handled was one of many steps in a complicated situation. I cannot recommend him enough.

I hired Michael for legal service pertaining to an open child support case. It was a bit complicated as my former spouse and child lived in a different state. Prior to my former spouse moving from Wisconsin, we had generated an agreement for placement, child support and variable expenses together without representation. Unfortunately, our relationship deteriorated and co-parenting was no longer feasible. I retained Michael as counsel and he assisted me with the child support determination process and determination of variable costs associated with my placement agreement. He completed extensive research and presented a thorough case to the court that represented my need to be able to financially support my continued travel to see my child. Moreover, I have to highlight that Michael was in consistent communication with me about my case throughout the process and really came off as though he cared about the case. Overall, I found the work that Michael did for me to be nothing short of exceptional and I was more than pleased with the outcome of my case. I would highly recommend Michael and will certainly look to him for any further legal services.

I was able to accomplish what I wish, but the fears of a law firm trying to get you to spend as much as possible, were very clear here. It was incredibly difficult to get ahold of Paulette, and it was very hard to get information from anyone about the payment plans until it was too late.
