My case specific feedback is that the lawyer who was assigned to represent me (and was a fathers "advocate") used the incorrect wisconsin calculations sheet/formula even with my current paystubs in hand. My Ex-wife who represented herself picked up on the error herself. I was told based on the current pay stubs (I would pay $90 less in child support then quickly lost and wound up owing $186). I attend church with my son almost every weekend and the lawyer assigned to me incorrectly stated in a hearing I have objections to the ciriculum in a christian school... I feel like my case was probably read 30 minutes before my hearing. This is a family court Factory in my opinion and if I were asked my opinion I would advise for single fathers to stay away. Approx $4k gone and barely past the first hearing. No thank you. I was talked out of the things that were important to me and it was able to negotiate on my own once again more favorable outcome than the lawyer was willing to fight for.

I have to tell the world of the amazing job that Suzanne Fischer Lorenz and Karp & Iancu did for my divorce! Please allow me to tell you why: No sales pressure from attorneys, emails, or computer bots! When I was considering my divorce, I entertained two firms. After speaking with another firm, I subsequently got spammed with emails asking me to use their service. What really sent me over the top was when I told the other firm that I went specifically with Karp & Iancu, they started spamming my phone too. With Karp & Iancu, and Suzanne Fischer Lorenz, there was no pressure—just a sympathetic attentive ear, with a game plan, and upfront pricing. World-class jurisprudence! There is a reason that Karp & Iancu was voted the top family law firm in the state. Jeffrey Karp and David Iancu should be proud of the staff they employ! Suzanne Fischer Lorenz was simply amazing! She answered my emails in 24 hours or less. I have a friend who is going through a divorce and his turnaround time is much longer—he should have gotten Karp & Iancu. Suzanne was transparent with communication regarding the other side as she copied me in on most emails to my ex-wife’s attorney. That way, I didn’t have to guess what was going on. I was kept in the loop every step of the way. Furthermore, she has ethics. The term “ethical lawyer” is not an oxymoron here. The attorneys at Karp & Iancu actually have a moral compass (I know, right)! There were times that I wanted to retaliate in-kind to the underhanded tactics that were foisted upon me, from the other side, during the process. Suzanne told me flat out that “we are not going to do that.” Instead, she handled the sophomoric games with the dexterity of a neurosurgeon cutting to the chase and getting to the heart of the matter with astounding efficiency each time. There are pilfering paid mouthpieces and then there are top-shelf attorneys with moral rectitude like Suzanne Fischer Lorenz. She is so good, she even got more than I was asking for and did it in a cost-effective manner. That’s rare for attorneys! My ex-wife knows what a stellar firm Karp & Iancu is because she tried to hire them. I just beat her to the punch 😊 If you are looking for a first-class attorney from an equally supportive and effective law firm, I strongly recommend Suzanne Fischer Lorenz and Karp & Iancu be your first and last choice. Divorces are expensive because they are worth it. Please don’t cheap-out on your mental and emotional health. You will regret it later. Spend the money because, unlike most airlines, this first-class ticket to matrimonial freedom is well worth the price. You won’t be disappointed. You will get first-rate service with, what I believe is, best-in-class support from her paralegal Carol which simply equates to a better outcome. I am happy to share my experience with anyone because, while I didn’t get everything in my marriage, I literally got everything in my divorce! (of course, your mileage may vary)!

My wife and I met with David Iancu to discuss our mediation process. David was quite personable in his approach to asking about our unique situation and answering all of the questions that we had. We are located in the Fox Valley and were looking for a face to face mediation which the firm does not offer at their Appleton location. We ultimately decided to go with a different firm based on that factor alone. If we were located closer to the Milwaukee area, we would not have hesitated to engage David as our mediator.

David and his Legal Assistants were very helpful, quick to respond, and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend if you need legal support.

I had problems from the start. Starting with her legal assistant sending me sensitive documents that were not for my case and were clearly for another client not even with the same name. I could I be assured my documents were safe. Not advising me how to proceed or how to record my finances. The Attorney told me she had no knowledge in cases of foreign nationals. Would repeatedly request I take time of work for a meeting or phone call and then not show up or call. Would book meetings on my behalf without discussing with me first to see if I had the availability. Did not discuss with me my case or what the outcome would be. Lied that my husband's attorney was no longer practicing family, when in fact his attorney is still practicing. Would never give me a total for my billable hours. Never prepped me before meetings. I wish I had something good to say.

Maureen is incredible and I would highly recommend her to anyone. My case was not your run of the mill case and at multiple points it moved forward in court when it should not have before we started fighting it. Maureen stayed on top of everything and consulted with her firm to make sure that ultimately the case did not proceed. My case was dismissed due to lack of service and improper venue, and I am just so grateful for all of her hard work along the way. She was also very understanding of the distress I experienced from this situation and made me feel supported and heard. Racine is not an easy county to work with but Maureen did not let it phase her and made sure that proper procedures were followed so that my case could be dismissed. Even since the dismissal, she has still been available to answer my questions as more filings have occurred in the correct county but were immediately dismissed. Maureen is diligent, knowledgeable, and kind and I highly recommend her.
