Attorney Anthony Cotton from Kuchler & Cotton S.C. Attorneys at Law agreed to take over my sons case after he fired multiple attorneys and/or they were unwilling to work with him due to his severe mental illness and delusional thoughts. An illness that at the second phase of criminal NGI trial would be proven to be schizophrenia. A case that was clearly evident the defendant had committed the crime due to the overwhelming mountain of evidence presented against him. Attorney Cotton received that mountain of evidence, consulted with the 3 previous attorneys, reviewed all current mental health evaluations to include documented medical and psychological information that was provided by my wife and I about our sons lifelong battle with mental illness. Attorney Cotton then came to the conclusion that our son needed to be in a psychiatric hospital and not a prison. He then proceeded to retain the perfect lawyer to assist him, Attorney Eric Eickhoff from the Law Office of Hogan Eickhoff. Together they worked tirelessly to build a case not only to defend the allegations and evidence presented against their client but more importantly to prove to a jury beyond any doubt that their client was severely mentally ill. An illness that was present not only at the time of the crime (and left untreated for 4 years in county jail while waiting for trial) but also for several years leading up to the crime. Attorney Tony Cotton went above and beyond to ensure my son had a fair and impartial trial. More importantly he presented all of the evidence needed to allow the jury to make a decision that ensured an individual with severe mental illness was sentenced to a medical facility where he would be guaranteed proper medical and psychiatric care for the duration of his incarceration. My family and I are forever grateful for Tony Cotton and his investment in a fair and just sentence for my son.

Obviously having to hire an attorney for defense can be a very difficult and daunting task. Choosing the right or wrong attorney has a direct affect on your future. Anthony Cotton is an incredible attorney to work with. He’s very intelligent and educated in Wisconsin law and is very highly respected within the court system. Choosing his firm to represent my case was hands down the best decision I’ve made with regards to my current situation. Gerard Kuchler really cares about people. He's not just in it for a buck. I met Gerry while I was working in Eagle Wisconsin. He was my miracle I had prayed for. He helped me when I was feeling hopeless and would of been completely lost without his blessings. He was literally the answer to a prayer. He continued to help me even after I had returned back home to Arkansas. I lost contact literally days after I had last spoken with him and haven't had any way to contact him and haven't made it back to Wisconsin yet. Somebody stole my phone and I lost all of my addresses and phone numbers but wanted to let him know that he inspired me to go back to school. I am currently a 4.0 student at CTU with an expected graduation date of May 2021 on my Associates of Business Sciences. It's been difficult at times but his words of wisdom still in my head and in my heart pushing me forward to be the best me that I can be, i know I will do fine. By the way tell Gerry I scored a 99.9 on my business law exam. I couldn't have done it without him.

We feel blessed that we were refereed to Tony to handle what seemed like a very dire situation. We had no experience with the criminal justice system.
