Hiring Scott Schmidlkofer as my divorce attorney was one of the best decisions I made in 2020. His knowledge, expertise, and care for my best interests was very much appreciated. He helped guide me through a very difficult time and was worth every penny. I give him my highest recommendation.

Review Atty. Grete Engel Pros: She has a calm demeanor. She presents as very knowledgeable and likable. Cons: Does not return calls in timely then apologizes only to do it again. Then states she will send you Trust Account money but after waiting six weeks you have to repeatedly email her with no response and then call the front desk repeatedly to get a response which to me is Unacceptable. Get an assistant or hire an intern or possibly ask for help from someone from the front desk??? In the end what was disappointing is you felt she really didn’t care. She told me that the Special Administrator would address my concerns (she never looked into them)and we would be able to ask for opposing counsel to pay the fees for the special administrator. Then the special administrator wrote 2 letters to the judge making it seem like Atty. Engel said I would pay all her fees and was angry. It turned out to be a disaster and we looked like idiots in court by going in her insisted legal direction and not what was important to my family and I. She did not stand up for us nor was she assertive in court. It was embarrassing and we spent a lot of money to look crazy. I did not understand what she was doing because it was NOT what I wanted her to do and at times I don’t think she knew what she was doing because it didn’t make logical sense to me.

Attorney Grete Engel is one of my most valued legal resources. If I have a question, I know that she can answer it. She's very well experienced in her fields of expertise and able to get the job done efficiently. I highly recommend both Ms. Engel and her firm.

Though I like Scott has a person he is only interested in providing money for himself and for the system. if you need an attorney who will do what is right for you the client Scott is not the attorney for you.

Worst representation ever for my son's Guardianship case. Put lots of work and effort into getting Guardianship for my son. Greta ruined my son's Guardianship case. I have to stop the case. She went against teachers, doctors and State of Wisconsin certified driver education system recommendations. Doctor was disgusted, when I told him. 1 star for showing up. Zero star for representation. Now, I am my son's Representative through ADRC. Similar to Guardianship, without the legal process and disrespectful lawyer.

Scott was amazing as my divorce attorney. He’s smart, quick and experienced. I can’t imagine if I did NOT have him in my court.

I met with Attorney Schmidlkofer and he made me feel very comfortable. He listened to what was going on, what my expectations were and laid out pretty much what ended up happening.
