Recently tried to "engage" this law firm for an estate issue. Front staff spoke out-of-turn about the estate assets (the reality was the exact opposite, as I had come in knowledgeable about the problem). Following that, tried to get some form of advice (aka do you recommend I hire you or what?) as the e-mails and the information contained in them was basically useless. The paralegal (I think) with whom I was e-mailing just kept sending me snippets of statutes when I was LITERALLY asking him if I should hire him. Who has to beg a lawyer to work for them? His e-mails were less than helpful and horrendous from a customer service standpoint. I provided a clear overview of the estate and all of the details so there was nothing lacking in terms of information for which they could help me. I wasn't asking for free advice and even offered to pay them for their brief time and services (JUST TO GET ADVICE!) Here's what I think happened... I believe that as soon as Badgercare and the possibility that the state would seize the estate's assets came up in conversation, they realized they would not get paid anytime soon (until late in the probate process). It just wouldn't be worth their time since the pay would be so delayed. As an educated business owner in a technical field based around compassion and service, I would be aghast with this level of service and lack of responsiveness. Save your time and money and take your legal needs elsewhere.

Amanda was extremely helpful in helping our family set up a will and a special needs trust. She was always prompt, friendly and accessible. In our meetings she was thorough and wonderful at explaining the ins and outs of estate planning. She made what I viewed as a very complicated subject much easier to deal with. We would recommend Amanda and her firm to anyone who wants to work with a very professional and personable team.
