Where do i even begin. I had to take time writing this to make sure i got everything i should appreciate this lawfirm with. Jackson and Ojeda LLC was very professional and knowledgeable when it came to my so complicated case that can easily be that one off case. Monique and her paralegal Heather specifically were a beacon of hope for me at a time where my options appeared limited and the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution seemed like a dream. She was calm, collected, empathetic and she offered emotional succor to me that i will never forget. Though it may seem trivial, her sense of humor was all i needed to bring lightbof a difficult situation. The so many times i wanted to throw in the towel, she became a pillar of strength and assurance that no matter how long it will take or the outcome she would be there till the end and she was. She steered me in the right direction and helped me determine what was in the best interest for me and my children and she was right. She will have your back even when you are low and down. At one point she paid for my hotel room for the night when i was low and never asked to be paid back. She made a volatile situation calm and brought an outstanding outcome after what seemed impossible and after the final courtdate all parties involved were happy and satisfied with her work which is very rare but we all felt like winners. She is tough when needed and even then she does so with grace. The respect she gets from both opposing counsel and the judiciary is all you need to know that you found the right attorney. I am a Mom who had false accusations against me regarding my parenting abilities. It was an extremely frightening experience and was due to an ex-husband’s wife making false claims. However, after retaining Monique and her team, I was extremely relieved by their competence and diligence. They were aggressive in court and compassionate toward myself and my situation. I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the representation provided by Monique Ojeda in a recent legal matter. It became clear that my best interests were not adequately addressed, and actions were taken without my authorization, resulting in an unfair advantage for the opposing party. Specifically, there were issues related to the handling of vital documentation and a lack of communication regarding important decisions. Despite multiple attempts to contact Ms. Ojeda via email and phone, there was a lack of responsiveness and a failure to address my concerns. Additionally, there was a significant lack of communication regarding the course of action to be taken, leading to confusion and undue stress on my part. Moreover, I did not receive a detailed summary of the charges at any time until the last day of services, leading to a lack of clarity regarding the use of the funds I had provided. Due to these issues, services were terminated with Ms. Ojeda as my legal counsel. Instead of addressing my concerns, I was presented with a bill exceeding the agreed amount, which was paid before any services. I cannot with good conscience recommend this law firm to anyone. --

Monique goes above and beyond to help her clients. She understands the law and will always do what's right and best especially when children are involved. Would recommend to anyone looking for an amazing family attorney

Monique represented her client as an incompetent stooge. She badgered a witness and acted like a freshman attorney. Incapable. Incompetent. Dumb.

Monique threaten the other party, and lied in a court of law. If you want an honest, law abiding attorney skip this one

Ms Ojeda and her team were great!! Not only was she well prepared and organized, very professional, she was also understanding and supportive in my custody case. She took they time to answer any questions and concerns as well as explaining any aspects that I did not fully understand. I will hire her again without hesitation!

This lawyer took my money and wasn't there when I needed help. Her and I went to trial unprepared. I wish I had done better research before hiring her as my lawyer.

I hired monique for a custody issue. She fought hard for me. She is incredibly smart and utilized all of her past experience to ensure my child was kept safe with me. She was so over the top compared to the other lawyers and outsmarted them with every move. She was aggressive to get the truth and interviewed teachers and social workers. She had a good relationship with the police department and was in contact with them all the time. I feel past experience working at the DA's office gives monique an advantage over all other generic lawyers.

I am disabled and have no source of income. When I left an abusive marriage, I hired Monique and her partner to represent me in my divorce trial. They charged me over $30,000 for the trial and delivered nothing. They waited until the last minute to prepare for the trial which caused serious strategy problems. They were so disorganized that important papers were lost, crucial emails I sent with questions and information necessary for strategy planning were never read or replied to, and important documentation was never gathered and what was given to them wasn't used in the trial - critical things like police reports, letters, and emails. During deposition, I was forced to sit across the table from my abuser for 8 hours, and they allowed him and his attorney to traumatize me into a panic attack so bad they almost had to call an ambulance. When I couldn't go on, they told me to testify even in a severely traumatized state or that it would cost me a lot of money if it had to be rescheduled. I couldn't even speak up for myself, and they allowed the other side to mock that and to exploit it into keeping me so traumatized I was paralyzed into not being able to speak up for or stand up for myself. That carried over into the trial where I was so terrified, I couldn't speak up about what had happened at all. They waited until the day before trial to formulate most of what they were going to say, and because of that, they just fabricated things to try to create a storyline they thought would work. Before the trial, when I would ask about how certain issues would be addressed, Monique would just throw her hands up in the air, literally, and said she had no idea. During the trial, when the other side had their witness on the stand who kept lying and presenting all kinds of untrue information, rather than take notes and correct those lies under cross-examination, she once again just threw her hands in the air in frustration, stopped writing anything down, and never corrected any of those things under cross examination. After the trial, when it was time to put the judge's ruling - which gave me almost nothing due to their performance - into a divorce decree, Monique and her partner spent weeks and charged me a lot for going to great lengths to include in it how my ex would get everything he was awarded and did absolutely nothing to make sure I got what was mine. When I asked for help getting what I was supposed to get, I did not get that help, in fact, they went out of their way to stonewall the process for that make it harder for me to get the money I was supposed to get. Because of their lack of help and the abusive nature of the marriage I was leaving, the other side continued to drag the situation through court. When that happened, I collapsed and was taken from their office to the hospital by ambulance. After I got out of the hospital, while I was severely traumatized, they said I had to sign a paper giving them tens of thousands from my portion of the home sale in order for them to help me in this court case, otherwise they said I'd have to go to court alone and face my abuser alone. They never showed me a bill to justify all the amount of money they said I needed to give them. In fact, I never saw a bill for them from the month preceding the trial on. They just wrote some figures down on a legal pad and said they'd discount a few thousand off of it if I signed that paper, or if not, I'd have to go to court alone. In the end, I was severely traumatized, gravely disabled from it, financially ruined, lost my home, left with no income, no healthcare, nothing. She blamed it on me saying I was a part of planning the strategy for the trial and should have done things differently. She blamed it on a professional who testified on my behalf at the trial. He is still very upset about that. And they took nearly every penny I had, and gave me nothing but devastation in return. Do not ever use these attorneys!
