If you want to wast your money hire this lawyer. If you want a lawyer that never returns calls, and then gets upset that you are bothering her because she’s so busy hire this lawyer. Complete disappointment is all I can say. When you really need a lawyer she won’t be there. This is my opinion.

She was in with the DA and didn't help my husband at all on his case, she would not fight for him why because the court was paying her. She no better then the public defender. She didn't even give him the right days credited. She should be an attorney an do her job right or not be an attorney at all !!! I would not recommend her as an attorney, she will fail you just like she did my husband.

You truly get what you pay for, especially in legal representation. And if your kids mean enough to you you won't think twice about retaining Craig Sampson. A father in a custody battle in VA can be a bad position to be in and bring low expectations regarding the outcome. Craig is the best in the business hands down. Extremely well prepared and has a court presence second to none. He will shine for you if given the opportunity. His pre-trial performance stopped the opposition in their tracks so overwhelmingly, they withdrew the case prior to the actual trial. Where they were not prepared, he was and made that day the trial. The judge acknowledged every point and legal precedent he presented. I can't say enough to truly explain his skill sets and professionalism, but you can witness it yourself. Although this is business, I will be eternally grateful for what he did for me and my daughters ensuring we stayed as one, family.

I hired Austin Ervin to represent me for small claims. He talked with me for 3 or 4 months, then dropped me completely. This was after he took my money and never offered to return it. I tried to get a hold of him numerous times by phone, text messages, and g mail with no contact. Don't use him unless you want to lose your money.

Lindsey was- from start to finish- such a relief and support to my during custody mediation last year. From the very first consultation, she was honest with me about the likely steps in the process and even provided me an accurate timeline for how long it would take to resolve my custody issue.
She has a direct, calm, measured demeanor and seems unflappable. This is exactly what you want from a lawyer during one of the most stressful things you can go through. She level-set my expectations while also providing me with an ear to listen as needed, via email, zoom, or phone call (these are scheduled as part of the process but when mediation did not go as planned, she debriefed with me and helped me understand what was to come.
My case was a long-distance custody situation: my son and I have lived outside of stanislaus county for years and that makes filing paperwork, paying fees etc, more difficult. Her office handled this for me.

**Lawyer Review: Disappointing Representation by Karla**
I am writing this review on behalf of someone close to me who was represented by Karla. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply unsatisfactory. I often had to initiate contact with her due to her consistent lack of timely communication. This was particularly concerning as it significantly delayed crucial updates and preparation for our case.
Karla's preparation for the case was shockingly inadequate. She left vital aspects until the last minute, leaving us unprepared and at a disadvantage. Her negligence in leading with due diligence to protect her client's interests was apparent throughout our dealings.
Additionally, Karla's conduct included multiple instances of gaslighting, where legitimate concerns were disregarded or twisted, creating a distressing atmosphere of mistrust. Combined with questionable decisions that raised ethical concerns, her integrity as a legal professional came into serious question.
In light of these experiences, I strongly discourage anyone from seeking Karla's services. Her consistent failures in communication, preparation, and ethical conduct suggest a level of incompetence that borders on malpractice. For those seeking competent and trustworthy legal representation, I recommend exploring other options to avoid the frustrations and risks associated with Karla's representation.

Would not recommend to anyone! don’t know about other attorneys at the firm, but I personally worked with Garner.
I had a battle with my kids grandmother wanting visitation. She was and is emotionally abusive to my child, we had years of proof. Police reports, everything! Went through child ad lidem meetings, court 2 or 3 times, $4000+ in fees, over a year of fighting for her. NOTHING got done. I eventually just had to give up fighting due to I couldn’t afford to pay for it.
Still getting billed for it.
My child still continues to have to visit.
such a waste of time and money!

I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for your legal needs, if my experience is any indication of this law firm’s professionalism and competency.
I reached out to Donahue, Young & Williams after finding them via Google, reviewing Yelp reviews, and checking out their website. Everything seemed fine. I had an initial intake call where I explained my situation and what I was generally looking for. I promptly received a legal services agreement, signed it, sent over the agreed upon deposit, and also took the time to compile relevant documentation, as requested by Kaylee. By promptly, I mean within three days. Kaylee and Sherry nearly immediately confirmed receipt of payment and documents, and all seemed well - I was confident that I was dealing with a professional and attentive law firm, and looked forward to getting robust advice. I expected this in a relatively timely fashion, as discussed and confirmed during my initial call.
2+ weeks, and 5 calls/emails later, I emailed to ask if someone could take just a few minutes to write back and give me a sense of when I should expect any feedback/insight/etc. This was a relatively simple landlord/tenant issue, and I’d provided well organized information for their review. Taylor Williams-Moniz, the attorney assigned to my case, emailed me, claiming that her office had called me several times (they had not), and tersely stating that though I wanted an email (I actually just wanted a response rather than radio silence), she needed to have a phone call. I wrote back confirming my phone number and asking if she could ensure they’d been calling me as I had to record of said calls, and also suggested a five hour window of availability for the next business day. No response. I had to follow up again in order to get a response from her legal assistant.
To make a long and frustrating story short, Taylor Williams-Moniz was very nice when I spoke to her, but couldn’t adhere to deadlines she herself set. Melody Dosch was unfortunately not much more helpful than Taylor - and in general I found the law firm to be not extremely well versed on the law (in one instance, Melody told me she would have to get back to me as to whether my unit was covered under a common law that I was able to discover as a layperson, and which should be been considered in the legal advice granted prior to my question), then proceeded to go on vacation and refuse to put her perspective in writing until I followed up repeatedly and insistently. Mark Younger was also very nice, but also totally missed a call we had scheduled with no prior notice. I also never felt like they advocated for my position or were particularly proactive and believe they misrepresented my actions to my landlord’s counsel (to my detriment). And obviously, I really didn’t appreciate having to agitate for a response from them over and over again.
I’d strongly recommend you look elsewhere, as it seems they have a burgeoning habit of playing attentive to get clients to sign, and then deteriorate from there. I also have strong questions on their expertise (at least on landlord/tenant issues) and have some ethical questions about their willingness to give advice without a seemingly thorough understanding of applicable laws.

It’s embarrassing to admit how many times in my lifetime I have needed a lawyer, but at the same time, it is comforting to recognize how often Andrew Kruse has come to my rescue. As a kid, I used to think normal people only consulted lawyers to write wills. That certainly has not proven true in my life. Andrew has helped me through the whys and wherefores of an adoption. I have consulted him in drawing up rental property contracts, preparing guardianship documents, and he once successfully represented me and my son in a civil suit. I retained Holly this past May when I discovered that my now ex-wife was filing for divorce. The one stars on this page must not have an understanding of how divorce works. There are no winners or losers in a divorce. You reach settlement. No more than that should be read into it. Expect the cost. No one works for free. For myself, the whole process was more stress free and thorough than I could have imagined. We were able to work together to reach an equitable settlement through arbitration avoiding the cost of a trial. Because our children are adults, there were no messy custody issues so the process was started and completed within five months. I won't say that I won or lost. There is no such outcome in divorce. I achieved what I had hoped to, and I choose to be happy with that. I will recommend Holly and her team to anyone. Choose to be happy.

Our experience talking with Holly was very pleasant. We unfortunately are on a short time frame and we were led to believe that she’d be willing to take the case as long as we paid the very expensive retainer by Friday. She did provide other legal recommendations that may be a cheaper option. They were not able to accommodate the short time frame. So we decided to go with Holly. We proceeded with obtaining the funds so we could pay by the deadline. Just to be called by her receptionist 2 days later & informed that she was at her capacity and wouldn’t be taking our case after all. A day and a half was wasted. We could have been looking for another legal opinion. Very disappointed she didn’t tell us this herself, and wasn’t upfront with us. Instead all of our time was wasted. This left us with even less time to find representation.
