I was in search of an attorney to represent me in a divorce case.The law office of JJ Thompkins came highly recommended.. Attorney Sillmon took my case and I’m very pleased with her as an attorney..She made sure I understood the process, she also had me prepared for hearing.was always up to date on my case. Most importantly she made me feel comfortable in every situation she was there with me. She is very professional.Going through the last phase I was so comfortable with her I felt as if we were best friends. Forever Grateful

This office is as a whole is disrespectful, unprofessional, and lack in communication. Attorney Sillmon is rude and does not listen. They do not care about you or your case. I had to get attorney on a short notice. Sillmon would not allow me the grace to explain the full details of my case. She would constantly interrupt me, and when she was blindsided by some details later on she got rude with me over the phone and still would not listen. I attempted to go and speak with her in person first thing in the morning on the day all my documents were due to be submitted and they told me I had to leave. I could hear the staff whispering about me in the back. The reason they managed to gather for why I could not speak with her is because she was in a meeting with her boss and that she wouldn't have time for an in-person that day but she could call. For an in person, I needed to schedule later in the week. ON THE DAY EVERYTHING WAS DUE! Even after I switched attorney's they took over 2 months to refund the retainer. I don't recommend signing up for the headache with these people.

The attorneys at this law office lack communication. Don't bother with this law firm. Read the negative reviews. Additionally ,the attorney assigned to me came to court without any of my video evidence on a flash drive. Waste of thousands of dollars and unnecessary pain and headache. I wish I would have gone somewhere else.

Our family had a situation to handle so we called Jennifer and her team. Even though part of that situation is still being handled, Jennifer and her team handled our situation with professionalism, integrity, and respect. They fought for us hard. We will definitely and highly recommend Jennifer and her team to anyone that needs their services. You won’t find a better law firm anywhere in Alabama. We are truly grateful and thank the good Lord above for all they have done for our family. May God above truly bless Jennifer, the entire staff, and their law firm! Awesome job everyone!

Jennifer and her team did a great job representing one of our employees for a traffic citation. Being from Florida we did not have the time to go to the court dates in Alabama and the ticket was not a ticket that should have been given. Our employee did not have to step foot in Alabama and the citation was dismissed. Highly recommend!

Attorney Thompkins represented me during my divorce. She’s very honest, direct, professional and all about business. Divorces are never a pleasant experience. However, Attorney Thompkins and her team did an amazing job. Kudos to Alena (Paralegal) absolutely awesome, she left no stones unturned. So far, our experience has been positive. The staff and attorney we have communicated with have been responsive and helpful. It can be daunting, knowing little to nothing about formalities and the legal process. It can make all the difference to have someone dedicated who goes out of their way to explain things and help make you feel at ease. My only wish is that there were more regular meetings or the provision of more information which outlined various options and what each entails in terms of resources required and potential outcomes to plan for.

If I could possible give a -1 star review I would . Jennifer is a horrible law firm if your looking for somebody to represent you and stand for your case this law firm is not it . She was never prepared for the case even after having meeting prepping . I was only a dollar to this firm my husband and myself paid over 5000 and after the 5000 she wanted us to keep paying and it was Negligence on their end I could go on and on I’m so upset and I have documentation to submit so don’t come under my message acting as this didn’t happen cause I will add everything under PLEASE BE AWARE OF THOS FIRM DONT RETAIN I WAS REFERRED BY A CO WORKER AND WISH I NEVER HIRED HER !!! YOU WILL BE BETTER THROWING MONEY OUT THE WINDOW OUT THE CAR AS SOMEBODY ELSE STATED The judge does decide and it was decided a year ago inside of the court room everything he ruled was on a legal transcript.. so why now a year later and it’s something totally different you guys insured us that we would have the same ruling … you can discuss with me because I’m on my husband consent form and it’s my account that pays the money but I wouldn’t pay you guys another dime we will retain another attorney and get all of this situated !! BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS YOU WILL ONLY BE ANOTHER DOLLAR TO THEM !!

I went there for a consultation today and could not feel more like the lawyer did not care about me or my case. It seemed like he was only interested in getting my retainer. He was very short with his answers and getting information from him was like pulling teeth. However, he did seem knowledgeable but was very reluctant to explain things I did not understand. I decided to go to another firm and was very satisfied with their attentiveness.
