The first visit she seemed great but after that I could hardly get in touch with her she only answered one of my emails. She didn't listen to me at all it felt more like she was on my daughters dads side. She told me none of my evidence mattered that I needed to just get over it ( I had tons of texts and recordings of him harassing me and threatening me) I pretty much had everything done and wrote out for her but seemed like she didn't even try or wasn't concerned for my daughters safte. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER

I was falsely accused of harassment. I didn't have enough money for a good attorney, so the city of phenix city hire her as my public defender. She refused to ask for discovery for any evidence that was against me. I was the one being harassed and I was falsely charged and the police knew it. During the testimony my son should not had been mentioned because I was the one charged, this guy accused he and Irwin told me that I needed to control my son. That made me mad she wasn't in no position to judge my son like that, she was suppose to be defending me against the other side, She was really hostile toward me during court and she influenced the judge against me to by not defending me properly. She said she hurt her knee and had to go to the doctor, so I was left with nobody but by myself with these criminals. The judge found me guilty but gave me a 90 day suspended sentence, but the police still took me to jail and Irwin abandoned me left me and my son in the cold. The police allowed my false accusers to watch them take me downstairs to have me arrested. Even though the judge didn't order me to jail he just gave me a fine, but the police hated me because of what my false accusers said about me and wanted me to suffer. Plus Iwrin wasn't there to protect me so I wouldn't end up in jail, which the phenix city police department as a habit of putting people in jail who can't pay their fine. But I wasn't allowed to pay my fine or call my mother to pay it, my son and mother told me that Irwin or the russel county sherriff office didn't tell them what time to bail me out. It was only after 7:30 pm when they told me we had until 4:30 to bail me out even my lawyer Iwrin wouldn't tell my mother, she let me stay in jail to suffer without any of my medication. The police chief also lies saying the judge ordered me to jail, but my son was standing outside and he heard him say he was giving me a suspended sentence. This was on 09/12/2012. My mom complained to the city manager and I was released the next afternoon. For some reason they wanted me to suffer and make me suffer. I 00% blame Iwrin for not defending me properly, and she abanded me. My mother did help me get a real lawyer, and he was able to get the charges dropped before the trial in spring of 2013 because I appealed it. 30 days after the charges were dropped Iwrin left town and closed her office in phenix city.

She has went above and beyond for me. She isn't perfect, no one is. She had been a true help and blessing in my life.

Basically it's just a job is what it felt like I paid 900 bucks to do exactly what I could have done on my own if I would have just simply walked in to court.. my recommendation is do not bring Lindsey Irwin with you to court....

Awful!! If you ask for documentation she won't send it which leads me to believe she never did what she said. When calling or emailing I would hardly ever receive a response. She said maybe 15-20 words at mediation otherwise was buried in other cases the whole time. She withdrew from counsel against her own contract! Do not hire as a family law attorney how can you expect someone who's never been married and has no kids to understand and represent you! Her and her assistant need some real lessons on customer service, compassion, and professionalism! Oh and at first court appearance caught her flirting with co counsel and think she conspired during case

I found Ms. Erwin to be thorough in her initial consultation with us. Her insight was accurate and the court proceedings went according to the way she outlined and our custody case was successfully handled. The process was not long and drawn out . Good Job. Pleased with her overall services.

Lindsey did a FANTASTIC job for us. She was very knowledgable and had a good rapport with the Judge. She did for us what our other attorney couldn't do. I have recommended her to several friends who have used her and they got great results also. You know, some people will give a bad review just because they didn't ultimatly get the judgment they wanted at the end, but that's ok....because I know a lot of people who think Lindsay is a great attorney and I will continue to refer business her way.

Lindsay was an associate for a GA law firm that no longer works with her. We were "forced" into using her since she was the only staff attorney that would do litigation cases in Alabama. My instincts told me she never quite understood what we did or the true nature of the dispute transaction. Like most younger attorneys, they are book smart but lack court presence, court instincts, and personal connections. Further, it was a bit disheartening to find that she used MY notes as her case presentation to the judge. Her follow-up was generally poor and she basically told us she didn't really care if she won or lost and she didn't seem competitive enough to try to win. That was a big red flag we stupidly ignored. We would have been willing to settle the case had she been resourceful enough and the insights to work this out. She did a terrible job prepping us to testify, bring up objections in court, and never quite connected with the issues. Ultimately, we had to interview several attorneys and then hire another one to pick up the remains of the case but the damage had already been done. She left the GA law firm with bad blood. And the partners were nice enough to work out something with us for the shoddy service. I have limited my complaint to this AVVO review but may ultimately report her to the Alabama State Bar. They probably won't do anything but it will sit on her record as warning to other clients or employers whom may hire her. I have the paperwork to report her but have not yet followed through. I know her last employer is interested in seeing a copy if I ever follow through with it. Do yourself a favor, interview several attorneys even if you have to pay a minimal consultation fee as we did. It was well worth it and something we should have done ourselves. Go hire an attorney that is seasoned, a fighter, competitive, and has real connections, street smarts, and good instincts. This one seems oblivious to a world beyond the legal textbook.
